I have Roku and was able to watch live this AM and now the replay for the bit I missed. I’m not techy so pardon the pathetic explanation. Turn on TV with Roku. Scroll to Tokyo Olympics and select. A code pops up. I got on my phone, went to the nbcsportsactivate website as described. Enter the code. It then prompts you for a provider. I have Hulu (but sounds like up thread Sling works). Scroll through providers and select Hulu. Wake up husband to find the Hulu login and password. Shockingly he has both. Enter Hulu login and password. It started. I had to repeat the same process for our other TV with Roku. I cannot figure out how to get in on our newer TV that doesn’t need Roku to run Hulu. Figure 2/3 and my IPad (NBC SPORTS app) is a more than enough. Good luck!
I haven’t been able to find an order of go for today.
Anyone?
ETA found it on the FEI website
The olympics.com website also has the starting order, as well as results and team standings in the Equestrian section.
I for one am not sorry to see zero top hats. The helmets look great (except for the UK team—what’s that powder blue thing?) and makes one wonder what all the fuss was about. I also spotted a Tipperary Windsor MIPS helmet.
So true; the helmets are just part of the profile now. I loved the bling here and there, such as the rhinestones on the Germans’ collars. Everyone came dressed to SHOW their horses.
I’ve got Roku. I had to 1. download the NBC Olympics app for Roku. 2. Get a Sling Blue subscription. Then like @fourfillies said, you go through the motions of logging in the info once you try to actually watch something on the Olympics app.
I’m just now making a dent in Day 1, but my goodness, Donna Anna, if no one else wants her I guess I’ll take her…
Anyone have some ponies on their wishlist?
The brow band on Dream Boy was especially pretty imo!
I liked the orange coats too!
Everdale and Fogoso
Jessica’s Dalera sported a pretty browband too. Or maybe it was a sort of mood ring, because it was red and that mare was on fire.
They brought their A game for sure!
Except CBC does not have have Day 2 of the Grand Prix on their streaming schedule, which means Canadians won’t be able to see two of our three athletes ride. Very frustrating!
Kudos to Finnish rider Henri Ruoste for praising his horse Kontestro after spooking and losing his concentration. His expression after the halt salute when he patted his horse was pure love and compassion. A true horseman.
Loving Dish Network right now. I was able to set up each session all the way through to record. Watching the first one now.
I still have all the VHS tapes in my basement. Charlotte Bredahl rode Monsieur (“Moose”) to help the team win bronze. Maybe ten years later, I got to have a lesson on him. He loved to passage.
Where, what number on Dish, please?
I can’t find any but the standard CNBC and there are no horse events showing there?
Maybe because I only have their basic subscription, since I don’t watch much.
I can’t find anything new on Dish and I have a high tier. I think they will show highlights only on the networks. I have it set to record, but I think the only one I will try to keep will be cross country.
The NBC site will only let users inside the US use it for streaming/on demand. If you’re in Canada you likely can get it for free on CBC so no need for Sling at all.
And if anyone else is wondering, I don’t think matter which Sling option you choose (Blue or Orange) because you’re not using Sling itself for the streaming. (I did select the one that included NBC just in case.) Once you have a sling login, go to https://www.nbcolympics.com/. When it asks you to login through your cable/satellite provider, search the full provider list for Sling and use your Sling login credentials. Done. You can now watch everything. I believe Hulu may also be on the list of “cable providers.”
Are you in the U.S. Bluey?
Here is the link that COTH had in the article above. You should be able watch live. Not sure about the Dish recording options as I don’t have Dish. https://www.nbcolympics.com/schedule/sport/equestrian
Random question - watching group B on replay. Does anyone know about the music? Specifically is there a way to find out what a certain piece is called? I tried to Shazam it, but I was unsuccessful…
