Three previous times in the last 2 years she had posted about someone starving her horses. There might be more, this was just a quick scroll.

What the actual f*ck. This is insane. Edited to add: I just googled her name and I’m really glad to see the threads on here ranking high in the results. Hopefully potential buyers will see these things when they search her name to look into her program.

The photos on this and the other thread of skinny pregnant/immediately post-partum mares are disturbing.
Mares ought to go into foaling in good flesh–the highest level of nutritional requirements in the equine is that of the lactating mare. If they have no reserves to begin with, they go to hell.

I’m glad you did. Documentation is so important. I’m not very active on Facebook and I never would have seen these if they weren’t posted here. Photos truly are worth a thousands words, and in this case, they are painting a very clear picture when paired with the repetitive nature of this situation.
I feel so sad for the horses.

My opinion is that KS is in the horse breeding business to make $$. And I am assuming she has made some. However her business model is not sustainable. She over-harvests from the donor mare/s, buys big name semen and hopes for the best. Her breeding costs which have been shared extensively are ridiculous. If I am remembering correctly, this isnt the first time her model has blown up and horses have ended in up in bad condition.

Does anyone know if she currently has posession of mares who are in goal and due in Spring of 2024?
Because the sooner authorities put her on notice that they are watching her… the better for those mares and goals.
Also, anyone who potentially leased her a recip mare needs to be on top of it.
Also, anyone who purchased in utero needs to be on top of it.
In short, if there is a way to raise awareness so that any mares currently in goal do not go into the dott at ing in poor babies du condition, and babies do not suffer prenatal nutritional deficiency…
That would be a positive outcome from this horrible situation.

So really, she either does not take care of her horses personally (or what she tells the people to do) or she does such a poor job hiring people to take care of her horses, and never checks on them, over and over again, that she is not a good horseman there either. But some how she thinks it makes her OK to say that she hired someone and walked away, never checking, never doing anything and it is al their fault.

As a neighbor to some of the places she’s been, I’ve been following this horse mill story since she blew into town. First it was the restaurant shenanigans-she’s banned from at least 4 that I know of. Then the latest dog show “tipping” disaster where she admitted to not reading the contract she signed with her handler, where everything was spelled out. In between, all the braiding drama. I just said this summer, with the holier-than-thou superiority this chick exudes, there will come a time when she won’t even be able to give these babies away. Looks like that will happen sooner than later. Poor horses.

Forgive my ignorance but what is the dog show tipping disaster? I’m not familiar with the dog show world. I’m guessing it is something along the lines of… It is standard practice to tip the handler of the dog in the show ring, and this person didn’t do that?

Apparently, if your dog wins something, there is bonus money to the handler. She got billed for a bonus, instead of, I guess, offering it out of the goodness of her heart. He billed her $450, and she was going to buy dinner instead. Whoops, he reminded her, it’s all there in the contract you had for a month and didn’t bother to read.

Over on the other thread there’s a screenshot of her recent FB post telling people to stop offering to buy horses because they are all going to a group auction next month.
To me if that’s true, it suggests either they have been seized by AC or by a bailiff for a horseman’s lien for unpaid boarding expenses. Because why wouldn’t she continue selling her stock as per normal, especially since she could get higher prices privately than in an auction?
I followed the dog show thing on FB and it was nuts. I did not bother bringing it to this thread because actually I’m not really a stalker. But there was constant drama at the level all along.
I had no idea she was systematically starving her horses until it erupted here.
Florida has a much bigger higher end horse community than some of the places she’s hidden her shit show before, Florida is one of the centers of sport horse showing obviously. So even if she’s in some tiny town, there are going to be a lot more eyes around

Again, I doubt they’ve been seized. I think that a ton of people messaged her offering to buy some of the mares in bad condition and she thinks if she runs an auction she’ll get more money with people bidding against each other.

It’s possible. But if she owes the barn money, which is highly likely, she could be facing a lien.
