Eric Lamaze Submits Forged Medical Documents to Court

It’s not difficult to read the actual lawsuit that ironhorsefarm has already won. The horses in question 1. Had a neuroectomy performed on a front leg , it was never returned . This is a surgery that occurs at a clinic and a horse is no longer allows to compete and passport is taken away, Lamaze was found guilty in court of inserting a second micro chip and giving the horse a new name and selling it to aziz

The horse he speaks of in the article , is not mentioned in the lawsuit , but after a brief google search that horse was a 6 year old competed by Ainsley Vince and then Beth Underhill . Karina the daughter never competed it and it wasn’t in their lawsuit . Just another spin of trying to look innocent from Lamaze . Interesting to mention that the daughter is a bad rider for not being able to ride the horse , but in reality it was Beth Underhill that wanted that horse returned - a top professional who ironically went on to ride for Lamaze years later .

And to your last point - Greg aziz never was convicted , he was accused and his case never made it to court . Considering all the untruths in this press release I wouldn’t believe anything that Lamaze has to say at this point . The court case is closed , he lost, and I think to make public statements like this you will just see things blow up again for him. If I read French law correctly you can expect he will be charged and indicted for this, that media company also has put their neck on the line .

Only time will tell .

You are correct, he settled out of court and Lamaze does misrepresent that here. But it’s easy enough to read up on what happened in that case and what he did and why he settled.

The comment about returning horses was a joke, you may have heard of them

They might have just moved. I can find the article by searching on the Horse Sport site: https://horsesport.com/horse-news/lamaze-submits-forged-medical-documents-court/

Here’s the document referenced (I got there by clicking the link in the above article and it worked): https://horse-sport.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/06152458/Report-of-Dr.-Oulad-Taib-Chirec-Cancer-Institute-dated-05-04-2023-re-Eric-Lamaze-Dutch.pdf

It’s not just this one case. He’s already lost another case and I think there are more ongoing: https://horsesport.com/horse-news/guthrie-brandmaier-win-1-39m-settlement-against-eric-lamaze/

Aziz ended up paying the damages, reimbursements, and settlements. You’re right he wasn’t convicted, but someone who is entirely innocent probably wouldn’t have had to do that.

It does feel like two big-money people accustomed to getting their way got involved in a case where each believed he was correct and justified.

Thank you! Glad they weren’t removed!

There are ways to submit confidential evidence in a proceeding and keep the documents confidential. I think if his “real” records would have helped his case, they would have given them to the court. Instead, he’s now saying his lawyer didn’t keep him informed about his case and the lawyer made up the forged documents to submit instead? I know the lawyer has already done his CYA statements claiming that he had no idea the documents were fake when he submitted them in evidence (as of course the lawyer also doesn’t want to be committing fraud on the court). But this response is wild!

I’m going to hazard a guess that there may be a few screws loose as a result of a variety of things and he’s not the sharpest hoof pick in the grooming kit when it comes to some things. He doesn’t seem to know when to zip it or lay low. He’s not helping his cause. I can’t imagine any lawyer would tell him that releasing that kind of statement would be a good move.

The state of Alabama is very well known for corruption and jailing people . If you google Alabama corruption it’s very easy to see all the sentators and former governors who have been imprisoned .

On the point of your joke - the actual lawsuit was over selling a horse with frontal leg neuroectomy ( denerved) to a junior that was double microchipped and given a new identity. I don’t think that’s funny. I think that is not only incredibly harmful and dangerous for a junior rider to be sold an animal that had its passport taken away at a clinic, but also animal abuse for the horse to have no feeling in its lame leg and be sold to continue jumping. It’s actually quite sick .

Poor horse .

What a stinking pile of garbage…. As a person that has actually had cancer (breast ) his continual lying is disgusting! His “experimental treatments “ will be a lie…. They do not hide new in person treatment’s and clinical trials…. They’d be public knowledge somewhere (even though patients names aren’t used) …. Damn…. Mechanical kidney being trialed finally would be major news (in stating this because he previously said that’s what he’d had done “ and well Mr Lamaze, with the kind of brain tumour you “supposedly have” well you’d now be amongst less than a handful of people ever to of survived this long, and every medical dr in the world would of heard about it!
Of course blaming his lawyers is par for the course! I mean whenever one of this top riders horses get found on a drug test “well it’s the grooms fault “

This is a special level of being deceitful and devious.

I don’t understand how that horse passed a vet check?

Don’t most PPEs include hoof testers? And wouldn’t a vet notice that there was no response?

Yeah. Well. The many ways that a PPE goes wrong, right?

Only did a cursory go-over. Or did more, but limited the in-depth examination. Inexperienced clinic personnel did the reviews and didn’t know what they were seeing. Used the seller’s vet and it wasn’t an honest PPE. Used friend’s retired DVM husband who hasn’t practiced in years and missed the obvious. Etc. And so on. And on.

And finally - didn’t do one. Trusted the seller. Thought the horse felt great. Do it own self, g-I’ve had so many horses, g-I know better than a vet. Expert friend was watching and said horse was 100%. Trainer knows more than everyone else in the world and said horse was great, don’t need a PPE. Etc. And so on. And on.

Who does that for a horse worth 100’s of thousands? People just do, sometimes. No rational explanation other than that their minds are their own.

If you read the court docs , the people were beginners and used their coaches recommendation for the vet check -

The female coach and Lamaze had a romantic relationship that the buyers were not aware of . Easy to think that Lamaze and the Coach made the vet arrangements together and made out with a huge profit - as a mare with that surgery would like be purchased for under 5k and they resold it with a new microchip and passport for 200k.

Sadly this is not that unheard of to have a coach pull a fast one on clients and pocket extra money. Coaches switch out X-rays All the time however the nueroctomy adds a safety risk and shows a total lack of ethics for the horse and rider involved

You are missing another option: the vet report was forged.

I doubt the buyers ever spoke to the seller or the vet.

I did not think of that. :grimacing:

It would be consistent with several other things that are documented to have been done. But no idea, myself.

Agreed. I just lost a friend to glioblastoma last year. It’s unsurvivable because you simply can’t cross the blood brain barrier with the necessary treatment (unlike other cancers.) A five year life expectancy is generous according to Nature Oncology. Perhaps his physician has a new information waiting on publication but these things are not generally withheld in the scientific community prior to publication.

Random and unrelated to the actual subject… but there is a new treatment that we just got sent an article on (I work for a neurosurgeon) about a immunotherapy that can cross the blood brain barrier and increase life span for Glioblastoma patients. Here is a link that is available to the public I think

it would be a HUGE breakthrough if it works as they say it does. https://breakthroughsforphysicians.nm.org/neurosciences-research-article-glioblastoma-treatment-reaches-brain-tumor.html?utm_source=webmd&utm_medium=display_ad&utm_id=neurosurgery&utm_term=static

Back to the title of the thread … Whatever is the truth and untruth of Lamaze’s statements about his health, medical status, and medical history, it is a known fact the the documents he submitted to the court were forged. Multiple proofs of this have been cited in this thread and news sources.

That is really the bottom line on the veracity of E. Lamaze, as far as I’m concerned.

Even if he has let fall a truth here and there, it doesn’t matter because those teensy nuggets are buried under the avalanche of lies, half-truths, gaslighting, and outright forgeries.
