GOLD for the French team and SILVER for Nicolas Astier! Whoohoo!
I really have to try and see replays of those rides. So happy for this new French team!

Traître!
Hahaha mais non…I’m just happy the French are finally winning things again…it’s good for the morale around here
Sounds like they want to send some of ours over to absorb whatever it is that produces those riders :D
#shegetsit
That was an amazing performance by the German team and especially Michi Jung. Yay!! I wish Ingrid Klimke had done better, but oh well.
Is Caroline Moran, owner of Mighty Nice, the same as A/O hunter rider Caroline Moran?
NVM: Yes, she is: http://phillipdutton.com/owners/

And now individual gold for the German team horse who happens to be Dutch.
Sam is a Baden-Wirttemberg, (sp?) AKA a “German Riding Horse”. Most if not all, of MJ’s horses are German Riding Horses from Southern Germany.

One is definitely John Kyle & the other is (I believe) Mike Tucker.
Mike Tucker was the one who said (when watching an event horse have a meltdown and jig instead of walk): “He has thrown his teddy out of the pram”.
How can anyone not watch commentators who say things like that?
For those (like me) who haven’t been able to watch any of the rides…Here is the last 3 riders in show jumping: Nicolas Astier (France), Mark Todd (NZ) and Christopher Burton (Australia). And if you understand French it’s even better - the French female commentator is just so happy! lol
Wow, thank you sophie! Watching it right now and I can share it on Facebook for my friends!

Bruce Duchassois (yes I’m butchering that spelling) was his original owner, he willed him to PDutty (because he was a class act) and P put together an ownership group that would follow Bruce’s approach. It makes sense Caroline Moran is in that group (they both owned race horses, knew each other and so on).

Merci beaucoup for the video, Sophie.
Way to go Nicholas! How tidy was that round?

I think those heavy medals are throwing their timing off.

LOL! Nice of you to try and find them an excuse!

Actually, no. There is no “most” in Jung’s barn. He rides every breed, Rocana is East German, Takinou is French AA, he has a bunch of younger Holsteiners, Hanoverians, Trakehners. Simply everything.
