please do!
I would be interested as well in any reply. I was going in the next couple of weekends to look at a few of their sale horses.
Thanks!
My experience with Carolina Sport Horses left much to be desired. I’m older person, don’t really know how to use a “forum,” but I joined when I saw this post on google in hopes of saving others from buying a horse from a stranger that happens to be a horse trader that will tell you anything to sell a horse. I PAID $1600. FOR A TRAIL HORSE AND GOT AN INJURED, SPOOKY, HOT, ENGLISH HORSE. SHE CANNOT BE SOLD BECAUSE OF AN OLD RACING INJURY, SO ANGELA AT CAROLINA SPORT HORSES WILL NOT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK OR TAKE HER BACK. IF THEY CAN NOT UPGRADE YOU FOR MORE MONEY THEY WON’T STAND BEHIND THEIR PROMISE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY. I HAVE HAD THIS HORSE 1 YEAR AND HAD HER LEGS X-RAYED, SHE HAD AN OLD RACE TRACK INJURY AND CAN NOT BE RIDDEN ANYMORE. ANGELA WILL NOT EVEN RETURN MY TEXT OR CALLS. BEWARE OF THIS HORSE TRADER, THE BULL WHIP SHOW AND HER JUMPING ALL OVER THE HORSE. IT HAS BEEN RIDDEN DOWN AND EXHAUSTED, WHEN YOU GET HOME AND GET WEIGHT ON YOUR NEW PURCHASE YOU MAY FIND IT IS NOT WHAT YOU WERE TOLD!!! BE CAREFUL OF ANY HORSE THAT COMES FROM CAROLINA SPORT HORSES IF YOU HAVE ALREADY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM PLEASE CONTACT ME. I HAVE TALKED WITH AN ATTORNEY AND PLAN TO SUE HER. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A FEW MORE STATEMENTS FROM PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN TAKEN BY HER.
Maybe you-know-who in drag?
It bothers me that Thomson and the woman in question on this thread are both working their trades in SC.
Has anyone called the SC attorney general’s office? Get an investigation started.
And girls, get together, find a good trial atty and file a class action law suit against whomever rips you off.
heed the warnings- do not go there!! horse trader in the worst sense of the word—can’t believe they are still in business- look at the website- I had an adult client of mine go there- told her not to- she walked around pointing out cuts and ribs- I’m sure they couldn’t wait for her to leave- and they showed her 5 lame ones- “feeding program” or lack thereof- sad situation- sad for the horses that have to live there!! Heed the warnings stay AWAY!!!
Run away! I have never personally delt with them, but they are in my area and all I have heard is run! I hear it is over priced horses that have issues. And their facilities are rough!
I have an update on Carolina Sport Horses! I was running an ad on Craigslist for my FREE AQHA gelding who is seriously lame with navicular. Guess who sends me an email? None-other, than the infamous Angela Long. I told her that I would not give her the horse, because of her reputation. She replied by saying that she is a “Christian” and that she only have 1 unhappy customer. I know for a fact that isn’t true. I will post our conversation directly:
Here was my ad:
FREE AQHA Gelding, Requires special care. - FREE (Greenville)

Tucker is a handsome 2001 AQHA sorrel gelding with papers. He sadly has navicular, and is really only suitable for very light riding, or as a pasture ornament. He stands 15.2hands and is very sweet and is easy to take care of. Due to his navicular, we ask that you have vet references available. Tucker gets along great with other horses. email or call for more information.

Any new updates on Carolina Sport Horses? I’m assuming Angela is still up to her old tricks. I never got a penny back on the lame horse she sold me. Any updates?
Thanks for the laugh, folks. Out of curiosity I googled the site, and the pictures… oh my…great way to start my morning.
They have horses you can 1. stand on. 2. kneel in front of. 3. safely put helmet-less toddlers on. 4. crack a bullwhip on while standing on. 5. walk near heavy equipment with, and 6. if you need one to sit or bow they’ve got that too.
That was too much on one page for me  Some of them are real cute though.
Good to know. My friend emailed them the other day about an appy they had. I sent her the ad and thought he was cute. They wanted 7500 for this appy that has done nothing! She laughed and say no tha you. Good to know not to look at any more there. If you are looking for a good brain and a little training go to southern cross guest ranch in ga. They have many to choose from. Where I got my boy. He knew nothing but to go down a trail but we are doing dressage training and will be showing. Just the greatest horse I’ve ever owned. Test rode 5 from there and they were brought out of pasture tacked up and rode even a 4 year old on the trails and they all were amazingly well behaved and soooo willing. They have great stock and training program for horses.
I don’t think it’s necessary at this point, but I will echo the other posters’ opinions on this one.
PH (and others), if you are seeking help with horse-shopping in SC, I can recommend a lovely, honest lady who does a great job brokering sales that match riders with appropriate horses for a variety of budgets and needs.

Just sent you a PM.
As I recall she is the one who damned me to hell after I posted a pro helmet poster on Facebook that said:
“I don’t care who you are, how long you’ve been riding or how quiet the horse is. Wear a goddamn helmet.”
Her response was : “Wow. Breaking a commandment. Taking the Lords (sic) name in vain. Sad if any one condones this. If they do die, they will spend eternity in Hell.”
I’m pretty sure her lord would care more about cheating people out of money than cursing.
I think it is important to note that this thread is from 15 years ago and the person doing the English training appears to be a competent rider, someone named Kieran. I just bought a horse from them and am hoping it all turns out OK. Nice horse, so far, but a few question marks. I do think the advent of auctions and the sky high price of horses now has drawn a lot of crooks out of the woodwork but also made it worth the time for people to do things right. I will post an update as I get further along. Just paid a crap ton of money for a grade horse because the market is nuts right now.
You’re the person who revived a 13 year old thread.
