Anyone have one of these? I searched and didn’t find anything on this topic. The one I am looking at is not overly expensive (EquiRelease), but I’d like some first-hand experiences as part of my due diligence prior to purchase.

My equine massage therapist isn’t a fan of them. Her feeling is that part of the benefit of massage work is to be able to adjust pressure in response to what she is feeling underneath her hands. For a laidback type that enjoys a general “massage” she doesn’t mind her clients using them but asks anyone doing targeted work addressing specific concerns to hold off. She finds that more sensitive types or in areas where there is sensitivity, they can subtly tense in response to the guns and create more tension.
