That’s because he doesn’t want to sell. Every few months, his parents, who he promised a return on their 4k investment, rise up and demand he at least give them back their money. At this point, its 4k plus all the board they’ve paid, so what, 11 13 mkonths of board, at aprox 400 a month, so they want about 10k back. I am sure if he just gave them back thier 4k of their retirement income, they would say good riddance. This fool just cries and gets morose and offers her fore less thanhe originally offered her.
They will never see any money until they take it into their own hands and find a horse person, any horse person, and sell the horse themselves.Did Nick take their 4k and put the mare in his parents’ name so their investment had a paper trail? Doubtful. It is entirely likely that he put the mare in his own name. If, indeed, he even bothered to get the Jockey Club papers and transfer ownership at all. He bought Celestial Lady, and never metioned her name, calling her Carpathia. But not pronouncing it like the ship, its Car PATH ia. I doubt the investment has evern been in their name. He paid cash. I am convinced he put the horse in his name. However, it is possible he never transferred the Jocky Club papers at all. He’s just so unpredictible. Whatever he did, I am sure he never told his parents what he did, except that he invested their money, and he could triple it in three months.
This horse, today, 13 months after purchasing her for a short sale, is now not only poorly trained in dressage, she will have to be retrained, if she is sound. Nick himself has acknowleged that she has an SI lameness up high, and what we all have seen is probably going to limit her to low levels, training and first. He never had a PPE done on her. The horse doesn’t have the capability to function at peak physical performance, without slow, careful physiological training.
She has been confirmed in LATE changes which will take time to undo and retrain correctly. Nick has publicised his incorrect training enough for anyone who buys her to know what they have to retrain. He trots her in a low jog, calling it half steps, and restrains her in a unholy restraint he calls piaffe, which will have to also be undone.
Nick keeps telling his parents they will get more money from her if she is trained to a higher level. They have dealt with his schemes all his life, indeed, they created the monster he is today. I am sure, if he says, oky, I will sell her, then two months from now when she isn’t sold, as he has undermined each inquiry and possible sale, and they have now put another three months board down, it will all start all over.
