Federal Fraud Case

My Guess of course not knowing the parties

The Rat Race is the one they lost when they got caught doing business as usual.

…or better ā€œratā€!

Rat Race

All I was stating, was that I am sure that Josh is enjoying his time away from the hustle and bustle of the show scene. I haven’t seen him or heard anything about him lately, but I am sure that we will see him spectating from time to time throughout the summer. He’ll be back in the saddle before you know it.

You will never be able to take that passion and ability away from him.

I didn’t know you could show horses in prison…

I didn’t know they could show horses in prison…

What passion would that be? Passion for swindling??

Agreed…

My thoughts exactly LaBonnieBon!!

I was at a seminar yesterday and they were talking about the horse identification thing… with the microchip. I don’t recall the proper name and such as I am pretty much against it. BUT there was a reference to Josh & Keg and their ā€œdealingsā€.

Really?

What seminar was this LaBonnieBon?

Seminar

It was an agriculture seminar. We raise cattle here and also make hay, so that was part of my interest in attending.

I guess the word has really gotten around. Since they are on probation and can’t do anything with horses (except Keg taking care of 1 of his mother’s horses), I wonder what the chances are that these farmers and cattle ranchers need to worry?!?! Will cows be next??

I have a pet cow named Stella and I have ridden her quite a few times… Maybe I am not too far off with my concerns!

I just started putting microchips in all our horses

I think it’s superior idea and not expensive at all. They can read the location of the horse wherever it it is off a satelite.

Ol’ Stella

Only if Ol’ Stella can half way jump a course…

Update…

I recently received an invitation to attend a ceremony in Richmond VA at the Dept of Justice offices in honor of National Victims Week (which is next week). They also called to say the wanted to highlight 3 cases to be aired on tv next week. Guess one case they wanted?..yep, this one!

I went to the DOJ office in Richmond today and was interviewed for 1.5 hours. There will also be interviews from two other cases as well as people working for the DOJ. My segment will be edited down to just a few minutes but will air on Friday April 28th on channel 8 at 11:15 p.m. So anyone in central VA who gets channel 8… tune in!

Perhaps this will remove all doubts as to whether there really is a person ā€œRNBā€ and solidify every fact I have posted on this thread since representatives from the Dept of Justice sat in during the entire interview.

Wow, that is great!!

Not only will it remove any doubts, but think of how much it will help the honest horse folks out there. It will make the bad people in the horse industry think twice about trying to swindle livestock and commit fradulant acts.

Channel 8 is what network?

What is the title of the show maybe we in the northeast can find it as well. I would love to help with ratings for a show like that.

question

You may or may not know the answer to this, but I’m wondering how many victim cases the DOJ had last year? Just trying to see how many these 3 highlighted cases were chosen from…

Interview

Snowbird ~ The interview is part of ABC affiliate channel 8 news team, so it will run the last 15 minutes of the nightly news on that friday.

LaBonnieBon ~ The Dept of Justice handled 86,000 victims last year in VA alone…yep that’s 86,000 !!

Good I watch Nightline

It must be on there at 11:15 PM. By the way my son works for Disney on ABC he is the national advertising manager for ABC. Rating go up and he gets a bonus.

Am I understanding this correctly??

Out of a 86,000 victims to choose from for this National Victim’s Week Tv special… this case was one of three chosen??

If I have that right, that’s INCREDIBLE!!!

Right again…

Yes, it was one of three chosen out of 86,000! So the three types of crimes they wanted to highlight were 1) Horse fraud, 2) Domestic Violence and 3) Murdered Children.

Needless to say it was a very heart wrenching day! :frowning:

The Dept of Justice deals with a lot of fraud related crimes but this was the first time they had dealt with horse fraud. During their initial 4 year investigation they realized the horse industry lacked any type of laws that protected the horse owner and there was a huge attraction for criminal activity because of the amount of monies changing hands. This case was just the tip of the iceberg regarding the criminal element lurking in the industry and the Dept of Justice wants to help in whatever way possible!
