Also, for those who have been asking I have attached a picture of my daughter and the pony, who were the basis of this case.

Still waiting LBB. The reporter, Joanna, told me she was sending it out the end of last week so hopefully Iāll have it within a day or two. Now I just have to figure out how to upload?, download? or whatever you have to do to get it visible to the BB!!!
I think you have to put it on a web site
And then you can link to it.
Holy Moly
Ok I am sooo late coming into this thread!!! Iām so glad i found it though! Keg tried to swindle my mom and I back in 1998. We went to VA beach, and he showed us some horses. We found one we loved and brought it home. Had it vetted a few days later only to have the owner track us down at the vets office in Delaware screaming at us that WE stole her horse! After we got the whole thing straightened out she then offered the horse to us but we kindly said no due to the fact the horse had ring bone, side bone, and navicular all in one leg/foot! I was only 13 back then so I donāt remember all the details. Just the part where I couldnāt have the horse I wanted⦠oh well boo hoo What goes around comes around. I hope he stays away from the horse world now.
This is a must read the beginning of the end for Felons
In todayās New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/03/spā¦=1&oref=slogin
The courts are going to start getting savvier on horse sales. The rip-off artists wonāt be able to get away with this stuff much longer.

Tango your not the only one!!!
A BIG WELCOME to you Tangoā¦I am sorry that you had to go through that ordealā¦your story is just one of so many! I encourage everyone that have been victimized by Josh Cardine and Keg Berlin to lend their voice to this issue! Keep them out of the USEFā¦they confessed to a felony involving horses!!
As I have said all alongā¦not EVERY victim was successful in getting their cases prosecutedā¦and MOST of the cases involve CHILDREN!!! It is unconscionable that they would have done this in the first placeā¦but again we are dealing with Felons whose actions speak loud and clearā¦they have no intention of conforming to ethical practices in the horse industry!
NEWS WE CAN USE!!!
āIām here to ask you to help me clean up that little dark corner of the industry.ā Jess Jackson
Jackson addressing the University of Kentucky Equine Law Seminar in Lexington this week. Jess Jackson, the California winemaker has been pushing for ethics reform in public and private horse sales . He is the force behind the 2006 Kentucky Law requiring a paper trail in horse transactions where one previously didnāt exist. The Horse Owners Protection Association is another of his commitments to improve the integrity of the equine industry. Noteā¦his efforts are not specifically targeting the TB industryā¦his focus includes ALL horse transactions. Period.
Jackson to Push for Licensing of Bloodstock Agents Please read the entire release!
A final speaker was Julie Goodman, legal counsel for the United States Equestrian Foundation, Goodman said the USEF is in the process of creating mediation and arbitration procedures to resolve disputes between members, including problems related to fraud or dual agency in the sale of horses.
JESS JACKSON BACKS LICENSING, DISCLOSUREā¦āThe long-held tradition of under-the-table payments and double-dealing needs to be addressed.ā
āThis is not a new problem,ā said Julie Goodman, attorney for the U.S. Equestrian Federation. She said her organization is working on creating a mediation process in which members can bring complaints of dual agency and potentially recoup money they think theyāve been cheated out of. She hopes those rules will be in place by the end of the year.
She echoed the comments of thoroughbred leaders who said itās important for the industry to attract new investors in order to grow.
āThatās impossible,ā she said, āto do if the world views you as an industry without integrity.ā
Iām having a glass of Kendall Jackson to celebrate this one! GO Jess! And thanks to RNBā¦since she made Jess and his legal team aware of our many issues and concerns involved in this amazing Federal Fraud Case
Just trying to make a differenceā¦
You are quite welcome TWF and since you are my āco-troublemakerā you will always be first to know!!
For those who are not aware, yes I speak with the KY group on a weekly+ basis, namely Kevin McGee who is a lawyer working with Jess on a variety of horse issues. The passing of the law in KY is only one of those issues. They hope to amend the law in CA to read the same as KY. From there, they will push for laws in other states, NY, FL, VAā¦to name few. There is tremendous support for this and it seems to be on a positive roll. And having the backing of the Dept of Justice is a blessing!!! Jess and Kevin were very interested in this case since it is Horse Fraud on the Federal level not related to breeding or thoroughbreds but the hunter/jumper (performance) discipline. It helps validate the need for reform within the WHOLE industry!
As the other horse issues take shape I will post them on this BB. The next thing on the agenda, other than new laws, is something called the Horse Owners Protection Association (HOPA). Money has been put aside for startup costs for this ānationalā association and hopefully I will be able to post more details within the next few months as it takes shape. If anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to pm me.
There are some big changes happening in the horse industry, folks, which everyone feels is for the betterment of the industry and is long overdue!!
YEAH RNB!!! We love you for what you have done to help the horse industry! Not only in the Federal Courts but also by helping Jess and his team!
Iām sipping my Kendall Jackson right now⦠singing praises to Jess!!
Itās so great that he has listened to his convictions and pushed this on further to better the horse industry. Hopefully the crooks will soon be a thing of the past!
My favorite comment for Jess was quoted!
āAt 76 I did not expect to be here and involved in this project. I thought I was retired.ā I can identify with that as I plan my trip to Washington in June.
VIDEO UP!!!
Well everyone, after a few weeks, three trips to a video specialist and numerous attemptsā¦I think Iāve got it up and running!!
How sad that you needed to go through this, but how WONDERFUL that you have used it for something good! Thank you ā Iām going to raise a glass of Kendall-Jackson to your efforts!
Thanks Hopeful Hunterā¦Iām having a little KJ as well!!
NICELY DONE
Great video!!
Thank God for you, RNB! You are saving so many people from having to endure the 7 years of he!! you went through. Hopefully now there will be legislation passed and anyone who attempts horse fraud in the future will quickly be behind bars!!
What a wonderful job!
You should be very proud. I will include your link in my paperwork to John McCain. I am seriously hopeful that he will care and that our issues will be something he can appreciate. Just a month now until Iām in Washington. I will spend Monday June 19th trying to get support from the NFIB for all of us with farms. And, Tuesday all day trying to prod the Republicans to take a stand against āconvicted felonsā in our sport.
Anyone with experience and advice please email me. We only have two weeks left to propose rule changes to the USEF.
