When you look at the Proposed Changes please add comments so you can also tell the Administration how you feel. We have to be heard before the Convention in January in Louisville Kentucky. It would be wonderful if as many as possible would attend the Meetings. A lot of Committees need to hear from you but nothing is more convincing than a lot of live warm bodies who cared enough to attend the Meetings in Louisville.
You know what they always say, “You get the governance you deserve”. Make you comments not just on one proposal but on them all. Take the time to use your right to be heard.
There are also two proposed rule changes to give us as Members the right to file a Grievance. Tracking numbers 147-06 and 148-06 are an opportunity for Members who pay their dues to have an opportunity to be heard. There are no Rules in the Rule Book which specify anything is a violation by the Federation. Therefore there is no opportunity to request a hearing if you have been wronged by the Federation. They can be amended and changed if needed but first they have to be discussed. If the elite athletes have the right to file a Grievance when they feel they’ve been wronged why also shouldn’t the working Mom who was charged a fine for something that they didn’t do file a Grievance.
Wonder if VHSA would ever think of adding this??? :eek:
Hey Debbie have you heard anything from Kentucky? I hope the event will make an impact on the way the USEF will process member concerns…specifically FRAUD.
I have yet to hear a thing, however the Committee did say that even though they would make a decision immediately after the Hearing that decision would not be made public for 60-90+ days. I was also told I could request a copy of the decision since I was a witness on their behalf. You may even know before I do, depending on who gets their magazine first!! :yes:

I just noticed that Josh and Keg’s names have been posted under suspensions on the USEF site.
Thanks and congratulations to those who worked so hard during this long and arduous process! It is a milestone for ‘the little guys’ that get taken every day (even though there are plenty of ‘other guys’ that get taken too) and really sends a message out to the industry.

i dont see anything wrong with people talking about the case, but you should be informed, i do feel that horse people and shady horse trainers get away with too much and do not get punished enough, people are getting taken all the time and these type of people are very smart at how to get away with defrauding you, we need to stick together to protect ourselves and sometimes word of mouth is the only way

What happens to the horses that were suspended when Josh Cardine and Keg Berlin were suspended?

I know for a fact that Keg swore he didn’t own a horse when he was taken to FEDERAL PRISON from Judge William’s Federal Court Room in June 2004…HE LIED :eek: . He still had Grande Impression…but now I have her!!:winkgrin: :lol:

These people need to be banned from the horse business. They think of horses as a commodity like cash but in reality they are dreams and hopes that have been stolen memories of children and adults who should have enjoyed their horses or had the money to replace their horses. :yes:

An acquaintance bought a pony from J/K, and it is now on the suspension list. Rumor has it tha the current owners cannot provide documents that J/K had clear title/ownership of the pony when they bought it, so until they can, pony is suspended.
