Helena is the mom. Her offspring should be accepted as other adults. Do not judge Helena by her offspring. For the record, I have never met any of the parties. It appears that Helena loved ponies, maybe family members went other directions. Give her a break, go ahead and persecute the momâs get⊠but maybe look further to see that Helena might not have been part of that ugly stuff.
The younger woman was slender with long black hair. I agree the older woman with blondish hair is Kegâs mother. And as for the trainer, it was not Keg, nor Josh. Not sure who he is. He has brownish/red hair and always sports tight jeans with a huge cowboy buckle and cowboy boots. He seems to sort of know what he is doing but wouldnât go so far as to say he is a decent trainer. And Iâm fine with not judging his mother, just seems crazy to me that they show with many local trainers that know the story with Keg. I mean really I would maybe think show in NC or something not right under the very noses of trainers and riders who very well could have been affected by her son years ago. Its no secret in the local world about him. I understand there is nothing anyone can do but wow just seems kind of blazen to me to show your faces with a smile on your face as if no one knows who you are. And birds of a feather usually always flock together. Just saying.

I know of no USEF recognized shows in Smithfield or Williamsburg. I believe that they are within the law. For the record, I have never met any of the parties involved.
Yes Chunky you are right. It was not a USEF show, it was a VHSA Associate show. And I never said they were legally in the wrong. But what I did say was that they show right in front of many reputable trainers that have been in the area for years, many of whom I know for a fact know about Keg and his crooked ways. All I was stating is that I feel that it is brazen of them to make appearances at the same shows with the same trainers that Keg at one point had done business with. Some of the riders in attendance even rode or showed Kegâs horses years ago. Can anyone do anything? No. But everyone can still be upset and everyone can stay clear of them. That is my point of posting.
Helena was in the court room when Keg denied owning any horses. He lied.
Helena Berlin was not charged as an accomplice in this case although Keg and Josh operated out of her house for years. She was questioned before Federal Judge Williams and testified in Federal Court that she didnât know how many horses she owned.
I try not to think about how many I feed but I do know how many I have!
eef, life may be lived forward, but why do people buy The Racing Form? Think about it. I breed/ sell and I will be trying to find out the details of this case since it seems to be so hush-hush. Iâm not making any judgements as I know nothing about it - yet.

Iâm guessing itâs because Kegâ mom, Helena, had a pony at Upperville. Showed over fences and in hand. Doesnât say who handled it in the in hand classes.
She did and she wasnât banned.
Helena was there with a pony. She is still in good standing with the USEF.

Looks like the long arm of the law found the elusive convicted fraudulent horse trader Janssen at the WEGS!! He needs to be banned from the US forever AFTER he pays the award and 10 years interest and penalites!!!
Well Heather Hargett Williams was picked up yesterday on a warrant for violating her probation agreement and is heading to the orange suit and grey bar hotel for awhile.

And Trina Lee Kenney plead guilty to horse sales fraud in federal court. Iâd say this past week has not been the best week for horse crooks.
