Federal Fraud Case

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but someone I know is very close with one of the men mentioned on this thread. Should I be concerned, especially if he starts slinking around the farm where I board my horses?

Have you read this thread? If you have, you should not need anyone to answer that question for you.

 And given Artie’s post a couple above this one…

I feel like I should now move out of the damn town!

Criminal records don’t make her think, just a bit? Yikes.

ETA I’m sorry your friend is involved with criminals. I hope they don’t take advantage of her but of course, they will, as that is their nature.
I have a friend who is doing something stupid in her private life as well, not with criminals but equally stupid. All you can do is show him/her the evidence.

Those of you following this thread and who have an interest in Keg and Josh not getting reinstated might want to look up the community Facebook page ā€œIs reinstatement in my Future?ā€ posted by Josh Cardine asking the public’s opinion on whether or not he can ever be reinstated. There are a few people who have commented he is the best and deserves to be reinstated. Where is the HELL NO button??? If I could screen shot the page I would…

I saw that FB page on Saturday. Since then I have been waiting to wake up from a dream where Josh was so ignorant to believe he would actually get reinstated. Today, I realized I got my definitions mixed up. There is no ignorance… it sheer stupidity!

Well, they have reinstated people who killed horses for the insurance money. To me, that means nothing is off the table.

Why do I seem to be the only person who has posted negatively on that page? Am I missing something?

I know there will be more. We are all just observing for the moment and debating the most concise way to get info to others who are not aware of the situation.

Sorry JackieBlue…I’m a little late to the party. Not sure why, but I will post something, perhaps the court documents. Not sure why others have not, but I imagine more will start to do so. Hope you are doing well.

And murderers have gotten off in a court of law… so nothing is off the table, even in court. Anyone can try anything, but I know I’ll be there reminding anyone I can of the horrific things he did.

This is water under the bridge. WHO really cares . Honestly, he has done his time , this is 14 yrs ago . Let it go . As for KB no one cares really where or what he’s doing. Move on if Larry and Kelley can ride and show . Why can’t Josh go to the local shows with restrictions.

Reeeeeealllly?

Well, thanks for keeping this bumped up so more people can see it.

Perhaps because there are those who were affected by their theft and fraud who believe that the playground ought have a fence, with a padlock, and more strict rules for entry in order to protect those who are at play and who play nicely? There are certainly those who feel that the playground rules are imperfect, in letter and in enforcement, and those who wish that weren’t the case so that ALL offenders could be dealt with more sternly and effectively. Keep in mind, too, that it’s not just the playground rules that have been transgressed here. The playground exists within a place, and it’s federal law that’s been violated.

I think the question is one of whom the federation should look out for most. Which is more important: giving convicted criminals who preyed upon the horse show-going community a second chance OR maintaining a barrier between that community and these offenders in the interest of preventing future crimes?

Has he paid back, in full, every person he has defrauded? Because it’s hard for me to accept someone thinking they should be accepted back into the fold until that person has made every victim whole again.

I am frequently more interested to know who the supporters of garbage bags are, even more so than knowing who the garbage bags are themselves.

Well, bless your heart.
I am often amused by the appearance of brandy-new posters who are full of concern and sympathy for convicted criminals.
I think vxf111’s restitution question is spot on.

I do believe there is a thread where someone is still seeking one of those horses.
