Feds just raided AC4H

So much wrong here, I won’t even start to describe it:

I notice AC4H also have a 2nd FB page (linked to at the end of the long “mountain lion” attack post in the link above) as well as a 2nd website that states they are a federal 501©3 non-profit charity.

That whole ‘mountain lion attack’ was a classic.
They’ve been trying to sell off the 40 odd horses they had collected in their ‘traditional rescue’ for a few months now… over those months they’ve hosted a $500 sale and even a BOGO sale.

In their situation, with lawyers fees potentially piling up and the cease/desist order from the state making it near impossible to collect donations and whatever happened to stop the broker page sales…, I imagine that having fewer horses to feed will help preserve the Omaha Steak fund. For now.

It does not, however, appear they’ve been able to sell of many of those ‘unique’ horses that they seemed determined to keep because they were supposedly special/rare breeds- the Gotland Russ mare, the Kiger Mustang [which bred several on their farm iirc], Bobbys Honor who was a TB rescued in Barbaros name but then majikally became a WB, and then was back to being a TB last time I looked… not to mention the ‘college fund’ minis…

That’s where all these 2013 crossbred foals came from on their site (half-QH, half-Gotland Russ, half Appy)…pretty easy to determine which of the existing mares were bred.

From a Fb post on the AC4H Broker horses page, January 26:

We are still doing the broker program. We need more quarantine facilities there has been a lot of problems the last couple of large groups listed there was not enough qt open and the volunteers were working hard to find places to qt the horses saved that our normal qt facilities did not have room for. This is also a time for a HUGE amount of paperwork to be done to operate a rescue. We just finished a Federal IRS audit - all good. Have 990 forms to send in we have an extension filed on our State Charity certificate and have to get them the paperwork 990 forms so that they can issue a certificate. There is so much paperwork it’s depressing. We listed broker horses the week before last the weather has been brutal and the quarantine facilities still do not have room so we still have that issue we are working on. And as Brenda Creighton mentioned we are in need of placing horses that are at the traditional rescue. We are full and have had some issues that are not normal that we have been dealing with and will be sending out information shortly about all of this. Thank you everyone for your help and support. Please help us look for quarantine facilities in PA, a barn to rent near New Holland and help us place the horses at the rescue. Thank you! Christy

Times must be tough, it appears she can’t afford punctuation.

Something I just now ran across (it’s 2 months old). Don’t know if it’s been posted here on another thread, but I found it an interesting update:
http://www.pennsylvaniaequestrian.com/news2015/march/Operators-of-Another-Chance-4-Horses-Fined.php#/

Amazing. And its not like they didn’t know these were problems, people here talked about it all to them at some time or other, didn’t they? Maybe I am remembering a different group, but that’s some blatant, persistent fraud, under the glaring light of the FBI. Man.

So she’s off on a new venture. “Facilitating” on line auction purchases. Apparently filming auction(s) , live streaming. Send her your credit card # and she bills you $1/ ?? . Sounds noble , she is creative and likely finding new ways to relieve people of their $$$s. Interesting that the link I found earlier, no idea where, was to an Amish auction house?? Or am I mixing things up?

Where is she working now?

Yes, she says:

Another Chance 4 Horses, Inc. has been featured on Inside Edition, HBO, The Thoroughbred Times, The New York Times, The Blood horse magazine, Paulick Report, our local media the Reading Eagle and much more.

She neglects to comment on why they were mentioned.

My questions are:

At what auctions and do those sales know she is sharing online feeds of live video of their sales [and customers]?
That should be popular with the sales.

Why is he referring to herself as AC4H still? AC4H was the rescue name, not her personal moniker, but the organizations name that presently is not allowed to function per state and federal wrist slaps.

Well a couple of those did glowing, fluffy pieces on what a saint she was… and failed to retract once she got in the hot water.
Those should include the ABR forum who promoted her and sang her praises which one could argue certainly helped her fundraise on that site. ABR is another who never did any equally public mea culpa…

“iLiveStreamEvents” seems to be her new name… SMH
