Fine. I got influenced

Yep, that high waist is really something. Im really short in the torso, and finally my belt is ABOVE my belly.
That said, I wore them for the first time on Friday. I had to stop midway through the lesson because the inside stitching was tearing up my knees where they rests against the thigh roll. I shifted the fabric some and was able to continue, but…
I hope that after washing the stitching softens up some.
I plan to write them an email about it.

For those of you wearing the Free Rides, and particularly, the Pros, how do you find the sizing? I typically wear a 32, or Euro 44, but based on their size chart, it seems like a 30 might be better. In street wear I’m usually a US 12 or sometimes 10 in pants. I would like a pair of green breeches, so I might start out with the Lux zip in an XL.

ETA: this winter I bought a few pairs of riding tights from Amazon. The Willit brand is super comfortable and about $35. Not super warm, but slightly fleecy inside. I usually like something with more structure, but worth checking out if you like a tight. I noticed that many of these brands also sell the same thing without silicone, for those of you who would rather be riding in yoga pants.

I find the Free Ride Pros run pretty true to size. I’m generally a 28-30 and my Pros are 28s. They’re a little snug, but my 28 Ariats are also a little snug right now. The Free Ride Lux Hybrid, however, I think run small. I have both a small and medium in those and the small show way more of my bits and bobs than I think need to be shown to the general public. The mediums are way more flattering.

For size reference, I also have some of the Willit tights from Amazon and wear a small in those. They’re definitely a great tight for the price.

Thanks, sounds like XLs and 32s would be the way to go.

If anyone is bargain shopping, I just picked up a couple pairs of breeches on clearance from Halter Ego. There is a promo code EH20 for an extra 20% off, so I got both pairs out the door for $102. Know nothing about them, but seemed worth taking a chance at that price.

The Pro 2.0s run bigger than the originals. I’m typically a 28 or 30 in breeches depending on the fit, and wear a 30 in the original Pro but a 28 in the 2.0. I’m typically a size 6 or 8 in pants

Good to know! Right after I posted I found some Romfh Isabellas in my size for $129, so ended up getting two pair of those instead since I have one pair and they are my favorites. Might try FRs in the future though!

I think I’m going to size down for my next Free Ride purchase. I wear size 10 dress pants and have purchased a combo of sizes 30, 32, and L from Free Ride. I have lost a wee bit of weight so the 32 don’t really fit well at all anymore and the 30 definitely needs a belt. My size 10 dress pants still fit fine but they have much less give in the waistband.

I’m not allowing myself to buy anything until I lose another 10 lbs though. So realistically I won’t be buying any until next spring - or possibly during a clearance sale next winter if I come across some good deals. I’m a slow and steady weight-loss kinda gal (unfortunately it always packs on faster than I can shed it back off again lol)

where did you find isabellas for $129? asking for a friend :slightly_smiling_face:

I saw similar prices for some sizes and colors when I was googling for better images of the colors. I got the maple and green which I think is called pine or spruce.

Thanks! I have been searching high and low for the pine color so many thanks! FWIW, i just tried the Free Ride Pro 2.0s on and they didn’t work for me. Romfh all the way!

That’s good to know because I love the Romfh breeches! Just snagged a pair of the Sarafina’s on sale too!

Hmmm as a mid-rise Tailored Sportsman devotee, I find it SO hard to branch out. But they’re expensive and summer means I really need breeches for every day of the week (else I’m doing too much laundry). I did a search but came up empty - can anyone compare the FreeRide or honestly ANY of these to the fit of TS? I realize the material is different but I like the cut of the TS.

Higher rise is honestly a bonus too…

I have given up and usually ride in just actual yoga pants/leggings…

Anyone have any idea when they’ll restock the petite sizes on the pro 2.0s? I’ve been eyeing them in sand for a while and they just don’t seem to be coming back in stock.

I also got influenced and preordered the Syncs. The white full seat silicon seat that has the black lining and is supposed to be unstainable. These are the ones where they pour soda on the breeches and they stay clean.

I did not pour soda or coffee on mine, however they did not seem to stay any cleaner than any other white pants. I am a dirt magnet, but was less then impressed. They did just come out of the washer (spray and wash on the dirt stains, washed cold and hang dry) and they did clean up pretty well post wash.

They were very thin, although not see through. I’m not one ot usually fret about cellulite or how my legs look, but I def did a couple of mirror checks because they were THAT thing. Could be great for summers in the South though? The seat was very very very sticky.

I have the Sync Equestrian breeches-Venom in black. I bought them a couple of years ago. They are super cute and very compressive. I got them with the matching top that I don’t see on their website now (similar to the Daisy). The top is also very compressive–like athletic wear. I can only wear the top in winter since I live in a very hot, humid climate. The breeches are also high waisted.

Does anyone have the FRE Pro in white? Would love to know if they are see-through.

I do, they are not. I have not shown in them yet but have worn them around the house as a try on and test the see-throughness.

Get the Pro’s.
