Clint, dorothy is a beautiful girl and her regular rider reports that she is sound and good to gallop. If you like pretty, honest mares, victorious devil should not be overlooked. She is classy, dappled dreaminess.
Eight more are up. No greys, but there are a variety of sizes, builds, temperaments, etc. Hopefully, the website is behaving.
Ohhhhh I want Prince Raffie! He clearly does not know his age…and that trot! Gosh he looks like fun…
I’m typically not drawn to the warriors, but Prince Raffie and Bedrock Blues want to come start my new War Horse Club. They have swayed me.
If wishes were horses, I would have quite a collection.
Prince Raffie and Big Gavel… I’d take them both… yum.
See, this is why I did not open the listings once all spring/summer!
Not looking is probably a good idea. Looking leads to wanting.
With both Big Gavel and Prince Raffie - they would be so fun to come visit at the end of the (day job) work day. Party boy mentality. Big Gavel comes off as more goofy and relaxed, and Prince Raffie is more “Eddie Murphy”, at least with only a few minutes of meeting them. Raffie is a confident fellow, but he has great reason to be. Both really seemed to love people.
prince raffie is certifiably gorgeous and has a bit of a foundation beyond racing. I worked with him briefly and told his trainer that he would be an amazing eventer. If he doesn’t get a new home soon I will be amazed. Thishorse is another diamond in the rough. And I guess I now have to embrace my self ascribed role as fan/advocate of warhorses! Bedrock blues, al’s lark…be still my heart.
Of the new ones I really, really like Hit the Cycle, Birdstrike also looks nice.
Just saw on the FB that a local barn is going up to get three Finests for their own racetrack retraining challenge, in house. How cool, can’t wait to see who they choose. I suggested they have a look at Bedrock Blues, I think he’d be super for the challenge.
"Our farm, Atkinson green knoll farm in Oswego County Ny, will be hosting a small OTTB challenge between our 3 trainers! We are going to finger lakes race track next week and we will each pick our horse. The challenge is to promote the OTTB as a versatile, safe, smart mount! I can’t wait to show them what they have! Each horse will be trained in hunter, gaming and trail! Please like our page and follow along. We will be posting video of training methods and progress.
This is fantastic! I hope they document and video every second of it. I would love to do something similar locally. What fun!!
Two teams on the backside today and we have a big group of new offerings to post. Fans of plain bays will behappy! One chestnut colt with great confo if you want a hunter sire. Some eriously beefy boys and one darling dark bay (black) filly who is so diminutive and feminine that we can see her as a kid’s hunter. The roster of warhorses continues to impress.camies cruzen from last week is now highly negotiable.
Now is the time to step up for your faves! Spare the flf volunteers some end of meet sleepless nights, we beg you : )
Did Siero find a home? I can’t find him on either the available or placed list.
Debbie, we have just been informed that Siero’s owner is retaining him for racing next year. Surely there is another you can covet??
Oh no, it’s better that I don’t covet for a while! I “should” wait another year before getting another FLF - which will be my fourth!
Denali Birdstone, swoon. If I had a place to park him for the winter, I think his confo shot is enough to prompt me to pick up the phone!
Adriatic is adorable, too.
I usually go for the 16h+ fillies but there are a lot of geldings that have caught my eye this year.
There are so many nice horses this year.
Oh wow I really like Pure Nature. And Jaracat. And Pink Vodka. What a nice new group!
There are sooooo many nice horses on the listings now. I’m glad I’m not in a position to be shopping as I don’t think I could make a choice.
Flash, Denali Birdstone is, indeed, spectacular. I think I swooned a little when I followed him out of the barn.
Twenty new horses! Several should go pretty quick.
Greenwood Boy is my current crush. Actually, I have been drooling over him for three years. He is from the same trainer I got Ries from. I saw him last weekend and he is still amazing. Its funny, since what I love Ries is that he is pretty much all about me and what he can do for me. “Woodie” seems more like the Toby Keith “I wanna talk about me” song. Which would be okay, since if he was in my barn, that might be all I wanted to talk about too.
I cannot have another horse right now, but oh so tempting. I have an empty stall with my Morgan leased out, but am not sure how long that is for so it has to stay empty. Plus, I have no time or sanity left for another one.
To be honest though, I think my head would implode if I went shopping on the track right now. There are a pile I could talk myself into. Badge’s Halo (who is not my usual bay boy type) was also massively appealing. I think I would have to just send a list of what I wanted and tell someone else to pick and drop it off. I’d be like a crazed child in a candy store.
Saw the FB post. Is Mr. Flashy safe now?

Arrangements have been made to ship him back, and he will be dropped off along the way with someone who is interested in buying him and will take him on trial, and there is a back up place if that does not work out. So he does appear to be safe, or on his way.

Phew, that’s good news!! Nice job to everyone who networked on his behalf.
