TSH - those are gorgeous!
I confess Iām less likely to do designs now than when I was a YR and for a few years afterwards - back then my upper level horse had an exclamation point one year and a magicianās top hat/wand another (fit his show name). I might be a little embarrassed to put those on a horse of mine now though⦠However, I donāt mind seeing a beautiful, understated design on an otherwise lovely horse, but confess that I like the look of a stencil and one where the design is left and the hair around it is clipped out much more than one where the design is clipped into the hair (if that makes sense). If you do it, I always found that a fairly tough stencil (not just paper or cardboard) and a lot of patience is pretty critical - though if you hate it when youāre done you can always clip it off again.[/QUOTE]
Makes perfect sense (negative relief versus positive relief ⦠when you āleave hairā itās a positive relief, and in the original photo, it appears the design has been āclipped in,ā making it a negative relief). I am not of the design ilk for clipping, but I confess I LOVE the one TSHEventing included too!
