He’s been up multiple times. I haven’t seen him nurse but did see him poke around there a few times so probably has!
I read in the update he would receive IV plasma to protect his immune system. Hopefully that’s it.
We had our second foal of the year last night, a filly by Street Boss.

Alpine Sky colt is a lively little fellow. Trying to canter circles around his mum in the stall.

They were the only pair turned out on the first day, I believe.

I was up late watching Kitten last last night cause I couldn’t sleep. They fed her grain at 3am. Strange schedule lol

Perhaps she’s a piggy and they like to keep some space between her feedings? Why not feed round the clock if they’re in the barn checking mares anyway. Just a guess.

I must say that I will not be watching “foal patrol” again, after what I saw this afternoon.
The farms have every right to handle their stock in the manner that they see fit , to put video on the internet for the world to see, and to indulge the mare owners (I hope that this was the excuse for stressing the mares, because most every breeder knows better and these folks are professionals.)
I find the unnecessary stress put on those mares to be inexcusable and as much as I like to see the mares and their foals, I don’t ever want to see that disregard for a mare’s instincts again.
Alpine Sky has a truly bad haircut. I can sympathize, as my hair will probably be in a similar state in the near future.

Emotional Kitten looks a little uncomfortable.
Kitten was pawing a lot and now laying down. Not sure if she’s just sleeping or something more
They came into her stall so she got up. I think she might go tonight.

A lot of weight shifting going on behind.
She seems food and people oriented. Quite interested in what’s happening outside the stall.
Maybe over 100? 😂
Well, not that many for me, but enough that I know I’m only making a somewhat educated guess.
Even when you know the mare they really can fool you.
