Forum Demographic Survey Results!
My oh My there sure is a lot of estrogen on here 96% LOL!!!

Lucas, Andrew, Rob, who’s the 4th male on here???
And Thomas 1 and Rayers. Hey your percentage is going up!

Oh crap! already mentioned. That’s me, always late to the party.

Lol. I was wondering the same thing.

We must have been slighted :frowning: because now we know there are at least TWO Ohio survey responses which would put us ABOVE Wyoming.

survey

Interesting to see the results. I guess the breeds with low representation were omitted? I answered the survey and have Lipizzans, TBs and QH on my farm.
Oh, to answer one poster’s question: what do we do with all those horses—I think we breeders make up most of the multiple horse owners, greater than 3 or so.

So did not one person from outside of NA respond to this survey, or were they just not counted?

As regards menfolk, besides me, off the top of my head there’s Glimmerglass, DickHertz, Denny, Guilherme, County, Tom Stovall, Tom King, Gnep, Rayers, Thomas1, Trakhner, Tom, Bayhawk, JHUshoer among others.

Maybe look in the Dover catalog?

My question:

52% married
40% single

So the remaining 8% are… in divorce court at the moment?

Very interesting to read thank you for posting.

It is also interesting to see some of the inferences people make from the stats as well as some of the complaints.

Or gay, or “living together” or otherwise partnered…

Regardless, they’re still either married, or not married.

Like pregnant, or not pregnant. There isn’t much gray area. Certainly not 8% worth.

Wow, absolutely shocking. I sure am not anywhere near avg in anything I guess. Having income of less than $10,000 I surely can’t imagine owning a $40,000 horse or much else listed. I wonder how many ppl are truly happy and how many are satisfied with how they’ve lived their lives. And I’d love to know what % of their income ppl give to those less fortunate. I know I love to give and it is very important to me to do so. Wow, I just can’t get a grasp on these statistics. IN my area there is not anywhere near that amount of ppl making over $100,000, wow, just wow.
Wow. Just wow.
I am one of those in that higher income demographic (of course we are DINKs but our life is very good), and I am also one of those with the expensive horse. That I bred and made up myself, thanks, after years of riding screwed up rejects that no one else wanted.
Since you’re so concerned with my happiness, I’m thrilled with my life, thanks for asking.
I’m also very satisfied with how I have lived my life, since I have spent it trying to help others and also helping animals.
I don’t give jack to “those less fortunate”. I didn’t grow up in a wealthy family, and the “less fortunate” can get up off their a%$ if they want something and get an education and work for it, just like I did. I do, however, choose to spend a lot of my time and energy volunteering at the local animal shelter and as we speak I have a litter of 7 5 week old puppies in my kitchen that I am fostering.
How dare you.

you guys keep forgetting my favorite user name ever:
BANK OF DAD

I attempted to do the survey but found I couldn’t really do it properly because it was American.

The choices were American and I couldn’t even put a post code or country of origin in. Hence it wasn’t a demographic survey at all.

It was a flawed survey in that the choices were often restricted but didn’t contain an “other”

So it was a limited survey of American users and I don’t know if mine went through or not as clearly there’s not one shown with no post code … whoops sorry zip code! It’s American

I’m guessing you didn’t vote for Obama?

No I didn’t, but thanks for asking. I don’t have a problem with charitable donations. I just don’t necessarily think they always need to be human, and I prefer to pick my own charities or worthy causes. And I think that other poster that I was responding to has some major cojones for saying what they did. After being a cop for 20 years, I unfortunately see where people’s donations and tax dollars are going and the money doesn’t go where you think. There’s lots of waste there.
Same with public assistance, which is a joke. Frought with fraud and waste.
Before the govt decides someone doesn’t need their $$ so they are going to take it and give it to someone else they need to clean their own house first and make sure the money and programs are run correctly and efficiently. Starting with foreign aid. If we stopped handing out money we don’t have to countries that hate us we would have a lot more $$ to take care of our own.

The whole “Robin Hood” thing is BS. But Obama wasn’t one of the questions on the survey, so lets don’t go there.

May I please have one of the “Average household income is $136,925”?
As nice as this sounds, it doesn’t take into account the cost of living. In some areas of the country, such as parts of California and areas near NYC, this salary is closer to average because just living in these areas is more expensive.

All-in-all, it’s an interesting survey

Yes it is an interesting survey but what I am curious about is how do they come to these conclusions? Based on what people say because I find it very difficult to believe half of what anyone says at the best of times.

Statistical formulas take much into account, including who is more apt to respond and how and calibrate for that also.

Jaegermonster.

I hear ya!

Bloody hell you people are rich!

A common-law spouse is one of those grey areas.

Maybe the next survey will include more options for that question!
