They have a cool version. I’ll have to see if I can find it but I bought one at Burghley last year that is fine for summer use.
Here…these are what are meant for hot weather:
I haven’t had a chance to use this in the summer yet-- got it for XMas. The underside is a bamboo material that is supposed to be wicking. He hasn’t been too sweaty in it yet and he is fluffy and some days we have warm weather.
Oh my, yes they are. I’m not in the market for more saddle pads right now and I’m really sorry I clicked! Forcing myself to bookmark for later…
Once you try the LeMieux pads, you will never want another pad. Ever! They fit my forward flap perfectly, and they are amazing over withers. Cannot beat them in my opinion.
Ogilvy equestrian has beautiful saddle pads that wash up like a dream. I swear they put magic potion on their fabrics.
While the cuts cuts are not forward cut per se, they do come in sizes which are very helpful. I buy the ‘large’ jumper profile pads from them and find they work beautifully for my very forward saddle.
Thank you for enabling me to buy a pad I really did not need, but really really wanted.
The Roma ones are all cotton so you might like them. They are thin but not so thin that they wrinkle up. I have competed in them quite a bit, and gave one to my trainer and she likes it. I haven’t used my LM pads in hot weather, but will report back when I do.
Haha, same here. I had never really heard of these pads, but I think they’d work well for my mare and her forward flap saddle. Now to decide which color to buy…
No problem! Happy to help! LOL! Seriously though, you will end up selling off all other pads and create a whole new addiction. I sold off everything else I owned - even the USG pads I used to love.
Somehow I don’t doubt it…I’ve lusted over them for way too long now. I just bought the mesh air one that was linked above to try for summer, but I think I might have to get one of the regular ones in every single color.
I really like the Fleeceworks shaped pad. It fits my very forward XC saddle well.
How well do the LeMieux pads handle washing? I hate it when I get a pad I love and then it shrinks to be too small for my 17.5 forward flap saddle.
Actually - the mesh air is the one I don’t love. I have one - but always end up using the other ones. Ponylady27 - I haven’t had any issues with washing. I actually purchased a bag thing that I wash them in, and that thing is awesome. But I just hang them (I always tug a little at the edges to make sure they dry straight), and I’ve not had any shrinking at all. I own probably about 8.
Well crap. What do you not like about it? Darn it. I bought it for my heavy sweater thinking it’d be a nice alternative to the Ecogold xc pads for the summer
You might like it. It’s just too thick for me. It does help with the sweating a bit I think. It’s just quite a bit bulkier, but I know the reviews are good. Maybe I just need to give it another try.
Ah, I see. I am verrrrry curious now. Sorry to have completely taken over this thread, lol, but I’ll try to report back once I’ve ridden in it!!
Just to add to the enabling, there is an extra 15% off everything on centerlinestyle.com today only. Including the Lemieux pads. Code: SPRING
You’re welcome
Same question here. I’d love to get one but I have a trunk full of pads that don’t fit. 49cm from pommel to cantle is 19.2 inches. Is that really long enough for a 17.5/18 inch saddle? Shrinkage anyone?
BR pads are very nice:

I wish you could customize colour combos a bit but they do introduce new combos regularly
