I actually LIKE mine because of the extra padding…I don’t use my half pad with it. So even cooler for the boy. I find them cooler than my Ecogold…and I liked my Ecogold pad a lot.
Ooh, good to know. I just got mine today and it definitely feels like I might not need a half pad with it. It seems like wonderful quality and I cannot wait to use it. A beautiful pad especially for the price! I’m a huge Ecogold fan but until I’m actually competing again I can’t justify the Ecogold price for a schooling pad.
It fits everything. No shrinkage at all. Seriously…once you try one, you will be hooked. I have half my barn swearing to never buy another brand.

Just to update on the ProSport Air Mesh pad by Le Mieux. Rode in mine for the first time yesterday and I am hooked. It fit my 18" monoflap xc saddle just fine, plenty of room front and back. My horse is trying to shed his heavy winter coat and it was 80 degrees yesterday so there was still saddle sweat, but much less than usual…I just had to curry and towel him down instead of a full shower. The pad didn’t slip at all and looks great. I am obsessed and will be definitely buying more from Le Mieux…very impressed by the quality.

I have the Le Meiux mesh pads and love them except for one thing – horse hair sticks to them like crazy. I bought navy ones and I have a mostly white horse . . .
Otherwise they are lovely – I like the thickness and I think they are much more breathable than other options.
Ok, ok, ok. I just order the Le Meiux mesh. Free shipping was nice. A few days ago I got the Roma knock off at half the price. Not a bad pad at all. It steals the look, but it is obvious that it is not truly meant for a forward monflap saddle. BFNE I’m hoping I remember correctly that you ride in a Stackhouse too? I haven’t found a decent pad that fits that wasn’t custom in ages. With all my pads needing replacing I’ve got my fingers crossed…
Yes I ride in Stackhouse saddles and these pads work great with them. I saw them first at Burghley and carried one all the way home…then ordered more online

Also, an update on the Roma knock off http://www.doversaddlery.com/riders-xlong-quilted-piped-pad/p/X1-19929/ that I bought that doesn’t fit my Stackhouse. I used it today with a very forward Black Country Quantum (18W) and the fit was superb. Definitely designed for a regular/long girth placement. At the price I’ll pick up a few more for that saddle.
Hmmm. I’ve used mine with my 17.5 Stubben excalibur monoflop and it works fine. Maybe shorter flaps, or because the flaps aren’t super-forward?
