Are you in Asheville NC? I’m just up the road in Kingsport TN.
I’m told there’s a shop called Chocolate Fetish I’m Asheville I need to visit!
That looks like a FUN crew!! I can’t wait to do this all over again.
I am! Well, technically about fifteen minutes east of Asheville.
I’ve driven past it many times but sadly never stopped. Next time I will.
If you make it let me know. We could meet up if schedules permit.
This little guy has worried me the past few days. He’s been back for two check ups so far and I’m hoping he gets back on track soon.
He got diarrhea and hasn’t been eating that great. He was put on metronidazole, fortiflora and mirtazipine Tuesday. This morning he wasn’t improving and he’s now on all those things and fluids twice a day along with cerenia and famotidine.
Right now he’s curled up on my chest asleep. I hope he feels better soon. He’s down to 1.2 lbs now.
Poor little baby! I hope he feels better soon!
Try goats milk. I had some amazing turn around with fosters using it. High end pet stores may have frozen GM. Even grocery store is okay, although pasteurized.
Little bits, often. Warmed up by doing a hot water bath, don’t nuke it
@CindyB59, I think that’s what started the diarrhea. I gave him some goats milk the second day cause his appetite wasn’t too good and then the diarrhea started.
@3PonyFarm, thank you!
We’ll, darn. I’ve had it clear some kittens up within hours. And my standard poodle after bloat surgery the pancreatitis.
He is eating the a/d. Hallelujah!
Fingers crossed and sending good, healing vibes. I hope the sweet baby feels better tomorrow. Eating the a/d is a good sign!
He’s been eating better and he’s more active. Still has diarrhea though.
He was turned into the shelter by himself so there’s no telling what he’d been eating or where he came from. His little gut has had big changes so hopefully it clears up soon.
Went and visited with the Little Guy today. He definitely remembered me and his beloved dog. He nibbled on my earlobe like he did as a tiny baby. And went straight to the dog for a play fight reunion. Looks like he’ll be a medium coat, and the white ticking seems like it’s staying. He’s still a super cute little booger.
My friends two cats still refuse to go anywhere near him so the integration isn’t going as well or as quickly as she hoped for. Hopefully they all can adjust soon. I know my two cats will be aghast if he ends up having to come back here!
Hope your little guy is doing better. I used Bene-Bac probiotic gel for my orphan. Nothing really worked for mine until he got off formula, but it has good reviews and one of the vets here recommended it. Easier to give in gel form than trying to figure out how much fortiflora to give a tiny kitten too.
Mine is going back Friday. He weighs a little more than 2 pounds now and can hopefully go on the adoption floor while he’s still ridiculously cute.
What a cute little face! Who couldn’t resist that!
Apparently he was adopted before he made it to their website. I texted them the other day just to check on him.
So glad he has a home!
Not surprised. He’s adorable!
I finally talked my husband into it and I put in my application with a local rescue to foster. DH is 100% sure he will foster fail lol
