He would have some heavy competition from my border collie for that ball… he is so much cuteness!!
Oh, I’m so tempted! If I didn’t have three cats and a dog already…
They are precious
I love that both the “pintos” have basically the same color spot between their should blades!
They are darling
Omg he is learning how to cat!! Have the other kitties warmed to him yet?
A truly gorgeous bunch! I love the torbie. You had a strong dose of kitten therapy!
Smudge is being a jerk about the kitten being here still and taking out his angst by attacking CJ, so it is not a peaceful household. I’ve gotten some of the pheromone diffusers so hoping they’ll take the edge off for the remaining time the kitten is here.
Smudge is losing his marbles over the kitten’s food, as long as there is the possibility of getting any leftover scraps he doesn’t care where the kitten is or what he’s doing. He can walk around or under Smudge and gets no reaction because Smudge is so nuts about the food. They’ve sniffed noses a few times but Smudge still hisses at him occasionally. Literally scared the pee out of the kitten hissing at him the other day.
CJ is mildly curious about the kitten but will also hiss at him if he gets too close. I think she’s just too old for kitten shenanigans at this point. As long as he stays in his lane she tolerates him but she is not going to be pleased when he starts launching himself at her.
I’ve saved them both from getting their tails attacked in the last few days so the miniature menace is getting feistier every minute.
He and the dog are driving me up the wall. Constant non-stop playing and will not leave each other alone. I have to put a baby gate up to separate them so I can have 5 minutes of peace.
Just over 5 weeks now. The barn owner where I used to ride wants to adopt him, so he’ll be going to live with her two cats and dog in another week or two. Definitely will miss the little booger!
He really does have a perfect heart on his chest.
So precious. Little tongue peeping out and that heart…
Hopefully she’ll send you pictures as he grows up.
My last two foster fails are 2 this month! Time is flying.
Sisters - friends one minute, frenamies the next.
.
Six weeks old now and a complete nutball. Still obsessed with the dog, they are besties forever apparently.
Poor Smudge decided it looked like the kitten was having a lot of fun playing so he tried to join in. He reached out a paw expecting to exchange a few paw taps and the kitten immediately pounced on his head. He was horrified and whapped the kitten a few times then stomped off hollering about how RUDE it was. Kitten was completely unfazed.
CJ has gotten fired up with some of her favorite toys coming out of storage, she’s been playing on her own but is still not on board with interacting with the kitten at all. Growls at him if he makes eye contact or gets too close. He doesn’t care.
Poor Smudge and CJ.
Kittens truly a) don’t care and b) have any sense of self preservation.
Boom goes back to the shelter Thursday. I think Sammy might miss some of the playing but people three states away will hear Snickers celebrating.
I let her out of her bedroom yesterday morning and Sammy was walking down the hall in front of her… she jumped flat on his back. Poor guy.
If he wasn’t 17.5 and painfully arthritic he’d be having a blast. She doesn’t know when to quit, like most kittens.
Your little furball is adorable.
you know that dog is gonna miss the kitten, so you might as well keep him!
He’s precious! I agree that you can’t split up the besties!
Seven weeks old and made the big move to his new home today. The dog and I shall miss him, the cats are relieved the tiny terrorist has departed.
His nickname has become his official name- Little Guy. He settled in fast and was already exploring his new digs by the time I left.
He’s happy and healthy, so a successful outcome for a wee little orphan bottle-baby.
My crew has all gone to their new homes too! Except the one we failed with and kept… he is finding comfort in our senile dog, who is actually loving his company!
