I think the OP has made a generous offer, which mare owners can either take her up on or not, depending upon whether they feel her young horse is suitable for their breeding plans or not.
I know he’s still young - but how tall is he?
How tall is he?

Hello Valentina,
He is 16.1 right now. His Dam is 17.1… I expect him to make 16.3 at least, maybe 17H. He has stayed very balanced as he had grown… he never really went through a truly awkward stage like some WB babies do.
If you would like to see many more pictures, look me up on Facebook. SunFireFarm@Gmail.com
Geeze. This is a tough crowd.
Congrats to the OP for having such a lovely young (I almost said “little”, then thought better of it ) horse.
I agree with those who said that there is nothing wrong with the OP making this generous offer. For those people who have no interest in taking part, perhaps the old adage “if you can’t say something nice, better to say nothing at all” should apply.
After all, Secretariat’s first foal was a 1/2 appaloosa (Named First Secretary). The mare’s owner did not care that Secretariat had no progeny on the ground at the time.:winkgrin::winkgrin:
Just my way of saying that every horse has a first crop. Look at Popeye K – He was bred to Standardbreds, Paints, backyard mares – anyone who wanted to breed to him was welcome his first season. – He was 3 then.
And he has done OK.
There are many ways to handle a horse’s breeding career; I don’t recall the OP asking for our advice on her horse’s when she started this thread.
JMHO, as always
I saw this boy as a yearling and he is stunning. he was also remarkably well behaved as many horses were coming onto the property for an inspection.
He’ll defintely be a tall drink of water. He was all legs back then !
Hope it all works out well for you
***** Update*****
[/COLOR] Embrace started his “training” yesterday! It was a hoot, he was really trying to figure out what we wanted him to do and be a “good boy” at the same time!! At one point he had both front legs sideways over the mount looking down at us with an expression of amusement. “Is this what you silly people want me to do?” LOL My daughter took some pictures, and I posted them on the FaceBook page I made to share pictures and video of him. Take a look… it will give you a chuckle!

TMI! I am kind of embarrassed for your horse.
LOL!

LOL! Ok, Well… when we collect again on Monday I won’t get so descriptive. Hopefully… all will go well and the result will be sent on its way to Virginia to make a hunter foal (or two;))
I’ll be at the KWPN Keuring tomorrow (just helping out… it has nothing to do w-Embrace) so I won’t be able to answer PM’s or E-mails right away. I am tickled at how much response he has generated… Have a great Sunday everyone!
Y’know…they mount sideways when doing pasture breeding…to test the waters and make darn sure the mare is truly receptive before exposing the “family jewels” to her double barrels!!! VERY savvy, in my estimation!
I love the look on his face, though I read it to say, "What the heck are you laughing at?!? This is the way it’s supposed to be done!
Beauty and brains…gotta love it!
He is very cute. Young stallions can be a crack up.
That last pic was hysterical lol!! He looks like very good boy, and he is quite handsome too. Good luck to you and to him for the future.
He looked so confused with legs on one side, LOL.
Just a quick note to say that Embrace’s half sister (out of the same mare, by Navarone) earned a First Premium at the KWPN Keuring this weekend! This filly doesn’t belong to me… but I was still very very proud. Not many jumper-bred foals earn 1st premiums. This was his Dams first Dutch foal, so she had to be presented as well. She is now in four main mare books.
Congrats on the filly Wendy
Tried to make it over there but wasn’t a good day!
New News!
Today Embrace was introduced to the phantom for the second time, and impressed us all! His numbers were fabulous, and he gave enough for FOUR shipments! The stallion manager was very impressed with his concentration, volume and the maturity of the cells. His motility was good as well, considering this was his first time. I know some of you have mares waiting… and we are now ready!
9/23/10-
Two quick updates: The first is that Embrace’s first shipment arrived in Virginia and the vet was very impressed with the motility after being shipped. The second update is just to let everyone know that the quarantine period has not yet begin, so this offer will be good through October!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
Wendy
New up date… Embrace’s first mare has been checked and is IN FOAL! His numbers have been fantastic right along and now he is officially proven. HOW EXCITING! Thankyou everyone for your kind words and encouragement! He is still available until the end of October!
Congrats:)
Yes, but does he canter?
Congratulations on your young stallion!
I looked at the pictures and he is quite stunning. However, why do you not have any canter pictures shown?
If you are trying to attract prospective breedings from sport horse people (as in dressage, hunters, and jumpers), we usually need our horses to canter! Well, unless we are setting our sights on breeding for walk/trot lead line classes, or USDF Intro A and B; then the canter doesn’t matter. (hey, someone’s got to do it!)
Seriously, he is quite lovely! As the owner of mares, if he was the type of stallion I would be interested in breeding to, he would first and foremost have to exhibit 3 outstanding gaits (and especially the canter). I would need to see pictures and video.

I really appreciate your input! His trot is so pretty… I guess I have neglected his canter. Look for me on Facebook… there are some canter pic.s there… and I’ll make an effort to get more.
Have a fantastic weekend!
In foal!
I just got news that mare number two has been checked and is also in foal! Three more mares are waiting to be checked… and a few owners are still waiting for their mares to cycle.
There is quite a bit of collecting going on right now, so last minute shipping is no big deal. If you notice your mare in and would like to give it a try, feel free to contact us! There are only a couple weeks left…
