Thanks…I know the ad is still up…the ??? was for why is it still up. No one has stepped up for a free (someone said they saw picture) cute, gelded, UTD large pony??? too close to New Holland. Hopefully, maybe , a responsible owner vetting prospects?

Good point. I was the third person to inquire about a free unbroken 3-5 year old pony on the eastern shore of VA a few weeks ago. It was the first day of the ad, and the pony was gone the next day.

Ah, so maybe there is something obviously wrong with it that we can’t see from the simple conformation photo that I have. I hadn’t really thought of that. I really don’t want to go see the pony; mostly because I am not very good leaving them.

Did anybody email to ask whether there are any health or behavioral issues? I’m 2.5 hours away (with an empty stall … yikes!).

I understand the motivation to “get rid of” a large expensive animal at this time of year. Maybe it’s no more than that?

Hey guys–maybe spacytracy would go take a look at the pony and check it out more, maybe take a video. Of course, you should have it vetted before you take it off the property (just so you don’t drag home a problem).

Because in PA there is a glut of unbroke horses that aren’t super-good at anything. Pony is probably fine. I’d go look but I’m at my limit and if I bring home another horse my husband might kill me.

I am just over an hour from the pony. I can certainly go look at the pony if you think you are interested. Maybe spacytracy can meet me there. I have made no contact with the owner since I am not in a position to take the pony.
