Sometimes people just won’t stop with the comments even when I remind them that my horse does a different discipline and therefore it’s done somewhat differently. In order to avoid getting to the point where my head explodes and I go all ginger on them I have developed the tactic of blaming my (poor unfortunate) horse. He doesn’t seem to mind when I tell people that he’s a slow learner and just can’t manage what they are suggesting. He’s a special snowflake who needs a special program.
The other person feels validated because I listened to their advice, and also superior because it’s obviously great advice but I just can’t manage it with such an unfortunate horse. It gets me off the hook from using their suggestion and my horse and I snigger at our little private joke! :winkgrin::winkgrin::winkgrin:
