Sorry, i’m late guys. I’ve been away.

Since I’m gonna have to miss middleburg, I’d be GEEK’D to meet some fellow BB’ers. I LOVE frying pan park. I could bring my baby (2 1/2 y.o.) and he could watch y’all, just to get the idea of the fun ahead

I’m good for October, first weekend or otherwise.

–My most accommodating strength is my willingness to humiliate myself

Baring disaster (i.e. my boss deciding he can’t be without my company on a Sunday morning at the office…) I will be there. I am looking forward to meeting so many of you–and to seeing horses playing in the fall weather, which I missed while I was in California!

I will bring chaps and a helmet and am happy to ride anything extra–cross country is my favorite and my usual role is the greenies and the ones with humps in their backs…(though I should know better than to admit this!). Should all four-footed things be already escorted, I’ll just hang out. (And, should anyone need to borrow a vest, I have one of those, too.)

–Jess

I’ll be in the CDCTA/VADA NOVA challenge.

Hey folks! Just wanted to bring this back up. Are we still on for Sunday? I’ve got a trailer ride all lined up. Just wanted to know what time to be there.

Anyone horseless is welcome to take a spin on my pony. She is built like a mini warmblood so she can carry just about anyone. And I am definitely looking forward to taking advantage of JAGold’s XC advice. I am terrfied of that stupid ditch!!! Can you help me?

Anyway, I look forward to meeting you all!

Oooh! I’m so excited! The timing is perfect! I’m no ETBW, but I’ll drag myself into the kitchen for this. Unless I wuss out, then I’ll just bring libations.

I DO have 2 horses that need schooling, and I’m hoping to bring both with me, so any help either on the ground or in the saddle would be so appreciated! Both are very inexperienced, but blasts to ride. Of course.

We’ll be there if the goober’s abcess clears. After two weeks down, he needs to go back to work. He just lead a jail break that took me 30 minutes to round up and I have to apologize to the neighbors for aerating their front lawn.

Creseida, where in Fredericksburg are you? I’m in Stafford, near Route 1 :0)

~Courtney~

I am coming from DC–I’ll take 66 West–then follow the exit towards 495/Dulles? (This is where it all comes out, folks. I am a reasonable, competent person until it comes to getting from point A to point B…) --Jess

If some one brings a donkey, I want a turn on it!

Oh Fairweather,

You have NO IDEA of what I would do for a live cover…I would give up the BMW. Don’t even need a guaranteed live foal… Yep them-thar boys are well worth the price of ANY contract!!! LOL!! Good Lord I feel the naughty Inverness and Sea Urchin coming out in me…both lawyers ya know!!!

We will be NEEDING those brownies!

Mr. Wings has been given the go ahead to create vast quantities of Barbecue. Yummy treats coming!

Inverness, Clive’s Mom and HN73 will attest to the warmth and comfort of the RV in the event of inclement weather. Rain or Shine (hurricanes excluded) Additionally, we have a teeny color TV so you can tell the S.O. the game will be on (until we need to replay the home videos of our experiences on the cross country )

Luckily I have a multi-outlet extension cord to plug into the RV’s generator so let me know if you have a dish that requires heat. (I recall a very nice St. Patrick’s day crock pot full of yummy corned beef and cabbage at the 'chases!) We are moving into brisk weather, simmering meatballs, hot cheese dip, and barbecue will keep us functioning. Finger foods are always a treat. Desserts NEVER turned away!

Inverness: If you need transport, B and I can pick you up along the way. He’s used to stopping and picking up friends as we travel.

This sounds like too much fun - I’m thinking I need to crash this affair.

Perhaps I’ll talk Hans into driving down or we’ll redeem our air mileage points and fly in. Anyone have a lame pony and a 17hher they can lend us; though come to think of it, I can hang out on terra-firma with Moesha and watch the rest of you gallop around, sharing a Canadian cooler or several.

The first weekend in October is the 6th and 7th.

The 7th is the CDCTA/VADA NOVA team challenge at Great Meadow. How about getting together there instead?

Or if you want to meet at FP, how about the previous weekend? There is a H/J show there on Sept 30.

but I used to school it at least 3-4 times a year. Whiskey had a definate aversion to this THING called the TigerTrap…It was PURE evil. Other than that we’d jumped everything out there…and we did get over that one a couple times, but not when it counted

There is a hunter show on the 6th, Sunday I’m not sure. I wonder if you can “reserve” one of the rings?

I like “CCBB” for a name. That will make sense to those of the Sherman and Peabody age group.

but I don’t have a horse to ride, and if Paige would lend me Dancer for the day, I don’t have a trailer to bring her in. Anyone else not riding, or does anyone need a groom or something?

My “Marklette” for any unsuspecting brave rider
He’s becoming a big boy and not wussing out at the last minute over jumps as long as you dont pick at him. He gives new meaning to the word “project” haha.
Whoever wants to is MORE than welcome to take him out and play!
Last time I went, I only had one stop with him…the rest of the day he was an ANGEL!
I cant wait to do this…how FUN!

FairWeather
