Here’s my new picture I show first. I still have the pony I posted up thread but an injury forced her into early retirement. This summer I found this little guy in Mississippi and I e been having a blast with him.

Fun thread! I took my girl to a working equitation clinic a few weeks ago and the pro photographer who was there got this one, which I thought was worth paying a few bucks for.

I like your clip!!! Is it just the neck and chest??? And, it’s a lovely picture!

That is a lovely photo. I missed out on so many color schemes and matchy things when I had a chestnut  I was not nearly as creative! Between the horse, your clothing, the pad, and the fall background, it’s a stunning combo!

She has a full trace clip now. I just did a hasty bib clip before the clinic because it was a really warm day. I do like bibs for horses that aren’t working too hard though.

@CanteringCarrot Have you checked out the Matchy thread on the dressage forum? It is dangerous and we have too many color combos now.

I do follow that thread! I may or may not have splurged during the recent Equestrian Stockholm sale. So I might have something to add to it later.

Its not quite one picture but its all the same pony. Does that count? What I’m most proud of is that he is a 3rd generation home bred pony(husband used to drive his grandsire and a pair of the sons), he was started and trained by myself (100% adult ammy) and he has competed in Half Welsh line and under saddle classes, Sport Pony line and under saddle classes, open dressage shows (beating pros on warmbloods), pleasure driving shows (ring classes based more on looks - I compare it to the hunters of the driving world), CDE’s (similar to eventing), and rated hunter shows all over Eastern Canada and the US. He lives at my farm so I’m a 1 man band - clip, braid, feed, care is all on me. I take lessons when I can, but its not always possible. I have never taken a driving lesson, but hubby has helped me out when I first started and I take a lot of my under saddle work to harness.

He has far exceeded our expectations and has been Champion or Reserve Champion in all of the above. To say he is versatile is an understatement ha ha! Even a horse that can go from Pleasure Shows and hop right into CDE’s is rare (like a hunter going to eventing and placing well in both. Not to say it doesn’t happen, but its rare. And then he’s just as good under saddle - the best canter ever!). I showed him at WEC Ohio in August and only put a serious month of over fences training (he dabbled over fences for many years but never seriously. I sold the pony I was supposed to take to WEC and really wanted to go, and he sure stepped up to the plate, even learning his changes within that month) and he was Champion 2 weeks in a row in the Beginner Horse/Pony 2’ division (over 40+ entries) and was the Overall Reserve Champion for the series with only doing 2 out the 5 shows. And I never was able to squeeze in an over fences lesson with him, so I just tried my best! I did get a coach to get me into the ring at WEC though and she was amazing.

He for sure is 1 in a 1,000,000 and I’m lucky to have him in my barn. I’m not saying he’s easy, as he is a pony and has his moments (he sure tells me when he’s unhappy), but thats what makes him so great as when he is “on”, boy is he on!

As a 2 year old:

I used to often do what I called a zipper clip - under the neck and the chest between the legs. Since my horses lived turned out all day/ and most nights.

We picked up this one (along with our best score in 2* to date). It’s a nice fall pic.

Inaugural short format cde at Stable View, it went really well and I’m looking forward to more driving events at that venue

@LaurieB- Here is a picture of his sire, a 14.2h British Riding Pony. He is the sire of many ponies that I have owned over the past 15 years (and is the sire of the pony I just started in October with a post in Off Course as well). I’ve owned and started about 10 of his babies now to date:
Top-Cat-Ancaster
Dam, 13h Section B mare: Unfortunately she passed away at a younger age while out on a breeding lease. I would have loved to own a full sibling to our guy:
eglantine
Grandsire, 13h Section B that my husband showed on the line and drove about 30 years ago now (sire to the mare above):
Pasiant Pasiant2
A pair of 13h Section B geldings that we owned and showed are sired by the above Sec B stallion. I also rode and jumped them and still have part of the pair and he is now 27 living the retired life. The other was put down at 19 as he had cancer and declined quickly:
