Games Trainers Play: The Florida Horse Saga

Patiently and curiously waiting for an update.

I am also hoping it all works out well. Doubtful, but one can always remain optimistic, especially when on has no skin in the game.

Exactly! It would be sort of a ‘holiday miracle’ if this all turned out for the best - we can hope, and it is the right time of year

Hallllooooooooooooo…

Today is the 23rd…

Yep. I’m anxious to know what happened also. I actually lost this thread for a while… I’m glad it got bumped back up again. Had the hardest time trying to locate it.

So, what’s the scoop?

ooh ooh hoping for a Chrismas miracle here… what’s the word???

Been quietly following this thread since it transpired way back when. I’ve never had my jaw drop so many times while reading the same thread.

Here’s hoping that all works out. I also can’t believe that these people had the nerve to change the feed, etc! WTF?!

Enquiring minds want to know!! What’s the scoop??
They renamed him, changed his feed and took Christmas photos
with him and won’t say if they want him or not? We await more info
with baited breath!

So I’m in Fl

and I’m also reconnecting with this thread. Without going back through all of it, does anyone remember if there was a specific town mentioned? I’m almost ready to pick up the horse for the girl if these people try to jerk her around. Talk about getting free shipping and lease!! Oh my.

I talked to my friend two days ago, and the report is:

“They LOVE him! The check is in the mail!”

That said, the check still hasn’t arrived- I was going wait till she had a check in her hand to give you the update, but assuming all goes well, the horse should be sold!

I’ll let you know when I know! Merry Christmas!

There ARE Christmas miracles…:eek::lol::lol::lol:

I don’t know, horse-loverz,…I think the only potential miracle here would be if “the check” actually is “in the mail”, makes it to the seller, and clears the bank. But I’ll keep good thoughts.

Yes…be sure to update us when the check arrives and when-and if-it clears. It ought to be in her hands tomorrow the 26th…thinking if they told her it was already in the mail on the 22nd, they must have mailed it the 21st or 22nd so it ought to be waiting for her tomorrow. Please share when she gets it…or it gets delayed in the holiday mail.

Isn’t ‘the check is in the mail’ one of the top ten lies ever? Along with ‘this won’t hurt a bit’ and others that aren’t exactly PG rated.:lol:

I hope that she does get her check and it clears and everything is hunky dorey.

Oh yes!

And as a farrier…“he’s never done THAT before” !!!

Hope the check arrives and clears…but then I’d actually be worried…(re: COTHer’s agreeing) maybe the world will end in 2012 :lol:

Well?

Did she get the check?

If I recall correctly, the seller was going to have the check in hand for the price of the horse, before the horse left for Florida. If that were the case, there would be no wait for the “check in the mail”… so I’m assuming THAT didn’t happen?

Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back. Patiently waiting.

Although part of me secretly bumps this thread up thinking that at some point the people in Florida are going to hope on board and it will become one of those wild rides that lives long in the CoTH collective memory. ;)

amazing

Perhaps a transport in the driveway could hurry the decision along a little?

Actually, BarbB, we are at the point where “the check is in the mail”. That is what OPs friend was told on the 22nd. Mail from Florida to Kentucky ought to transit in 5 days even with the holiday.

IF it was “In the mail” on the 22nd as they claimed.

is she smart enough to check with the bank to confirm available funds BEFORE she deposits it?
