I guess I’m just a little confused by the people who are all angry at the trainers and such, since nothing the owner has done thus far has indicated that she cares about what happens to the horse and about how much money she really gets in the end. I think it’s a little harsh and premature to start calling them “scammers” and trying to find ways to stick it to them when the owner has been agreeing to every extension on this trial and has not been proactive in checking up on the horse, making a contract (pesky little details, I know), or taking COTH up on the offers to check on the horse.
She did make a contract. Perhaps a poor one. But its there, and in place. She did initial to extend the lease, both times.

Hmm. Interesting. So buying and selling is now allowed on the board as long as you create enough drama beforehand?[/QUOTE]
You were the tattle tale in kindergarden too, weren’t you?

LOL
Although, in all seriousness, I don’t see how the horse was sold on the board… I mean, it’s still in the hands of the maybe buyers… And neither they nor the seller is on the board… And a member showed clients the thread, so they might contact the seller… But none of them are members of the board (or at least not posting on this thread)…
Granted, I think we’d all like to see the horse be sold to someone else, simply because the drama is so unbelievable. (well, and after the pictures, the horse seems like a saint!)
Too many mights in my opinion, to be considering this thread a sales pitch for the horse… But that’s just my opinion! :uhoh:
i am sorry if i came off sounding like i was trying to buy/sell a horse( i see my post was removed) i feel sorry for this saint of a horse and am closeby to where this horse is supposed to be. i just happen to have had someone email that a.m. about that type of horse, kinda thought it was funny since there is one just like what they were looking for in this story. again, i am sorry and don’t want to get into any trouble.
hope this poor horse finds a great new home

you know, I passed on commentig on this the first time, then as I read it again (as I went back to see if any of my posts had gotten deleted, seeing Maxxtrot’d post) You know, we did not BUY OR SELL this horse!! Someone pointed a client towards a horse that she deems accaptable… YOU KNOW WHAT?? SO WHAT!? It was not DONE through this board, since she sent them to the VIDEO site!!! get a life, of course I guess that applies to the rest of us that can’t get any work done do to this thread!!
This saga interests us, if it offends YOU, pass it by.
You know, I’ve learned that some people exist on this board just to piss in other people’s cheerios each morning. Just ignore them and keep on smiling…
And as my old roommate so eloquently states:
“It’s hard to be religious when certain people don’t get incinerated by lightening bolts”
Which, I think, could be rephrased as:
“It’s hard to keep posting on COTH when certain people don’t get incinerated by lightening bolts…”
zapppppppped

Maybe some folks just enjoy getting yelled down on the board and set themselves up for it, and will always continue to do so.
A phrase that popped out of my mouth yesterday while watching The Da Vinci Code on TV comes to mind…
“You know…bitch slapping a flagellant probably won’t get you much in the way of results”
Come to think of it…that probably applies to the OP’s friend too
<SNORT> I’m sorry, I’m sitting here laughing out loud  This is a very entertaining page all on its own
You were the tattle tale in kindergarden too, weren’t you?
If you mean, did I send an alert? No, I did not.
Also, I have not relieved myself in anyone’s breakfast cereal for years.
Interesting ‘pack mentality’ here. We saw it before on the Chanter saga.
Anyone who raised questions was a Big Meanie. pffft.
My friend called the “buyers” today to ask how the show went. “Buyer” reported “No hiccups and no stops” and told her (rather shortly) “We’re having him vetted on Friday, we’ll call you then. I just can’t wait until this is all over.”
Did anyone happen to see him at any shows this weekend, by chance?
HEL-LO! If you’d schedule the vetting six weeks ago, it COULD be all over. head desk

Sound to you like someone’s been clued in??!!
Vetting on Friday on a OTTB? Wanna bet there will be SOMETHING wrong, be it a hint of possible, perhaps 10 years into the future, arthritis in the hocks?
Uhm maybe, just maybe a wind puff which will detract from his physical presence as a hunter princess’ pony?
Maybe he will have long toes, low slung heels, cracked hooves…perhaps due to the buyer’s keeping said pony so long…(didn’t want to pull those shoes before the show…now did they?)
I believe that come Friday…they will call and offer a much reduced price on the now…
vetted by an leg expert…who cannot be reached until after the NEXT show…to look at the results because the vet may have seen something hinky in the xrays of the hocks which might be arthritic in nature and require adequan shots and he might have ulcers from carrying the kid and worrying about his mouth and …and…and…
the saga continues…where’s my popcorn?
people say the trainers are innocent…what trainer would allow a horse to be on this trial and showing when it has not been paid for. I could understand wanting to see it somewhere new but heck, isnt that what the trial was in the first place. They have been playing this girl like a fool instead of just being honest that they need more time to come up with funds. ughhh
What’s to say that if there is a problem on the PPE that it wasn’t caused by something that happened since he’s been in FL. How do you let a horse go out on trial without some proof of his condition before he leaves?
And if the “buyer” is getting snippy, I wonder if somebody has finally tipped them off to this thread.
