I’m not getting notifications on tagging or if someone quotes my post. I have it so i should get them, i subscribed to them and not getting them,or it’s hit and miss.
I don’t see location of users either like some say they are…not on outdated windows or browsers so what’s up with that???

I’m not seeing poster location tab in poster window. Anyone else not seeing it or is it just me??

Have setting so signatures & avatars show also i only see avatars no signatures are showing up either. I’m on a desktop running on windows 10. Computer just updated windows yesterday. I got one notification today but it’s still not working all the time.
I understand now that the blue arrows take me to the first unread post in a thread. It’s not intuitive however. I preferred when it said “unread posts.”
My chrome browser also is not showing any difference between read topics and unread topics. They all look the same.
In general I’m not a fan of the frames and wide margins. It means I have to scroll a lot more and the site is not really as user friendly. I know change is hard and new users might like it better. But it’s functionally more difficult to read topics with many comments.
Mine looks like this also, the large grey boxes on the left with the poster, avatar and information, the post itself in it’s own window right of it, in a white field.
Works fine for me this way?
I am only quoting you because yours is the post right here that mentions this.
Lots of things look very different on this new format of the forum but to me the square footage allotted to posts/text versus side banners is pretty much the same. The side banners used to be green and they are now white. But for me the forum has always been this strip down the middle with stuff (I assume ads, but I have ad blocker) on both sides.
I believe you have the “latest activity” view selected for the thread, instead of “posts.” Those two tabs are located under the thread title at the top of the list of posts.
Ok i selected posts and i can see where posters are from under the user’s name. As soon as i go back to the forum list and go back to help forum or health forums and click on a post…it switches back to latest Activity. This time it stayed on posts,but not always. And it keeps jumping back to latest activity.

I’ve been fiddling with various settings. Thankfully got rid of the avatars and it does seem to load a bit faster. Is there a way to force the “box” with the poster’s name, join date, etc. across the top of the post instead of to the side. It’s driving me batty, my eye keeps jumping to the box instead of the text. Thanks for listening to our whining.
@Moderator 1 I figured it out to keep it on posts have to go into user setting and check the posts then it stays put. But on posts when you click on a thread it takes you to first post. Still not getting notification it’s hit and miss and i checked my setting i should get notifications.
On a good note other things are good, so thank you for putting up with all the complaints.
Ignore List is still not functioning
Seems like it wastes a lot of screen space. And I’m on a laptop, not a mobile.
Logo font at top seems incorrect relative to magazine/historic masthead.
I can live with it, but it’s not wonderful.

What I just noticed tonight (and maybe earlier today though I didn’t make the connection) is that so far, 2 Notifications I replied to, disappeared when I went back to Notifications (yay!), and none of the ones I visited but didn’t reply to disappeared (boo).
Well alrighty, that is indeed the case!
@Moderator 1 - I don’t know if this additional info will help figure out the Notification section issue of different fonts/disappearing or not:
I posted in the current event thread (the one in the off topic section) and my post showed that it needs to be approved. Since then somebody else has posted. So obviously it was only my post… not sure why that one was so bad…
And it happened again. I retried to post it, same thing…
Sorry if this has been mentioned, but on the old site when you read a thread, the title changed from bold to regular (on the page view). It only showed bold again on the page view when there were new posts. Can we get that back?
