General feedback on new site HERE

Not glitch stuff, but wondering if it exists on this new set up.

User profile used to include an easy click to threads started by that poster. I do not see that here. (It can be obtained thru search successfully, just wondering if the easier way to get it is there and I am not seeing it.)

User profile used to include when that user last was active on the forum. It helped to know if the person was just ignoring their thread or had not been around or such. Is that information available and I am not finding it, or did that option go away?

On the old forum you could click on the post count and get a list of everyone who posted on that thread (including how many posts per user). This forum does not seem to offer that information that I can see. Is it an option?

(Totally love that I can stretch this box as my post gets longer.)

@trubandloki if I go to your profile and click the “about” tab, there is an option to “find all started topics.” Does that address your first point?

I can also see your last activity on that about page.

@Simkie Yes, that answers quite a bit.
I guess the two times I tried before I must have either missed that or been on profiles of people that have that set to not show (I assume). I can see yours. Thank you!

@trubandloki perhaps the “about” tab should be default view?

Here’s my screenshot re took it here this is what my screen looks like. I see no ribbon only the page numbers at bottom of page. http://postimage.org/image/8s8zfauwf/ Running on windows 10, Micro soft edge enternet explorer. Screen isn’t any different on chrome.

I see the ribbon at the top of the page in your screen shot.

Don’t know if I will be able to locate your answer, but here goes. How may I access the last posts on a subject. I would like to read last posts about British tv shows, but can only get there by clicking on the sequence from 1 - 200 something I think it is. Will not be doing that.

When you are looking at the list of threads, look on the right side, under the name and date of the last poster. There is a small blue box with two arrows in it. That should take you to the last post.

This is the ribbon.

Pic says Error when opened up. Also not receiving notifications sometimes i do sometimes i don’t. Had one earlier now i’m not getting them.

On the first day I swear I had a button that took me to a page that listed the newest topics in all the forums in order by the date they where posted. It is gone. What am I doing wrong? Or did I imagine that? I think it said “latest posts”. If someone could help me find that it would be great. TIA.

On the bright side (or maybe not so bright side  the glare is not as bad today.

I think you’re describing the Latest Activity tab, which is at the top of the list of forums on the forums’ home page. Is that it?

Anyone who was not a Premium user previously like to test out uploading a photo to share in a post?

Thanks!

I want to chime in with the request to darken the page. The text is difficult for me to read. It seems small.

They started working an another round of tasks last night.

– TODAY’S POSTS and member list now available in the bar below where your username is located! I think we could get rid of that Latest Posts drop-down widget at the top of the page now…thoughts?

– Location is back.

– Font size has been increased.

– Regarding the search: [TABLE=“border: 0, cellpadding: 0, cellspacing: 0”]

After upgrade from vBulletin4 to vBulletin5, search indexes needs rebuilding. This is server intensive process. Search index rebuild was started Wednesday night. We had delayed it because users were facing slow site issues immediately after conversion. It will take around 3-4 days to completely build.

Search results were capped at 250. Its changed to 500.

They are in the process of addressing an issue that’s affecting emails sent by the system, so that’s why email notifications are not currently going out.

What kind of notifications are you getting and which not?

There is now a separate topic on notifications with some useful info.

The old software subscribed you to everything you replied to. This software does not by default. If you aren’t getting notifications, you may need to subscribe to those you want notifications on. If you are getting too many notifications, you’ll need to unsubscribe (in your profile) - order them by date and go back and unsubscribe for a period of time…
