Video up at Brookfield Farm?

Aren’t they running a recognized event this weekend? What happened to not being allowed on the grounds of USEF and affiliate events?
Welp, time to crack open a White Claw and pop the popcorn.
It’s recognized and unrecognized simultaneously, through a special arrangement with the USEF and USEA, so he has a loophole that he can - arguably - exploit to “test the waters”.
Two things:
This seems like the beginning of the test to see what USEF will actually do to enforce rules it frankly had to be blackmailed into even vaguely endorsing
it may not be a long test since he looks like he’s about to drop dead.
I dont think so, but he can try, and clearly–as predicted–sad people are still calling him a god and begging for selfies.
According to a comment on the fb video, he “didn’t realize” it was a recognized event, and it was quickly reported. But…what now? It’s not like they can re-ban him.
The fangirl comments on the post are absurd.
ETA: No masks. Nice.
I never liked his style and think he has no business being there.
However- approaching him sans mask right now? Are they trying to kill him off? How stupid.
It’s not that he has no business being there, he is expressly prohibited from being there.
But we are talking about a man who sexually assaulted minors, and doped horses, so rules were never meant for such as him anyway.
I had greatly hoped Morris would not do this. Clearly, this is a test. I don’t buy the “ I didn’t know…”. I frankly wonder if there is the will to enforce.
We know from our ngb there is not. I’m wondering how the FEI but especially the IOC will view USEFs unwillingness to enforce the safesport bans.
There are SO MANY other skeletons. There is no good ending here.
I think the good ending at this point would be for the IOC to suspend US Equestrian from the Olympics, and the FEI to ban US riders from riding for the US. There is precedent for both of these things. US riders can, as others have, still compete at the FEI level unaffiliated, but no Olympics.
Perhaps that would encourage our ngb and elite athletes to stop supporting–overtly and covertly–those who have been banned for sexually assaulting children. Christ, it’s amazing we actually have to go down this road.
Looks like the video has been taken down? Or made private?
Publicly posting it probably wasn’t a smart move in the first place even if those at the show realized he was there.
I’m told the NYT has it. He intended this. The link still works for me. The people at the adjacent farm saw him and took
the video but he is on the grounds. The comments on the video …
Is the video gone? The most recent post shows someone jumping in a grass field.
I hope someone reported this. Although I’m not sure what can be done. Maybe sanction the show for allowing this?
Video went poof. Screenshots are forever.
I still see it on my link.
Also can’t see the video… wonder if it’s because I’m in Canada? Regardless, seems like an interesting choice by GM. I remember idolizing him, and I’m very glad that I have moved on from that…
