I feel like delving too deep into how and when children know things just doesn’t help when faced with people like Duncan McIntosh and Diane Carney. It also doesn’t help with posters who do mental back bends to not believe the truth.

The way you came off had me texting my own father, who is 71, asking him if he ever thought I was gay based on my dress and interests.

Please understand what you type and how it can be perceived.

ETA: I perceive you as a fence rider in these discussions. You have said a lot through out the many threads that give the impression you support Diane Carney and her ilk. Then recently in this one you chastise them. I suggest you finally take a stand and state your opinion rather than making posts that depend on how much support you get.

to dislikes the accurate term ‘digital penetration’ while also referring to menstruation as a ‘little friend’. It’s as if he shies away from real accurate language in favor of a fuzzy alternative reality of life facts. It seems to me that a person who sees things like that more easily can do things they don’t see as ‘real’, so to speak; it’s this cute little harmless other thing.

Only a man would refer to menstruation as anything “friendly.” It’s like those “have a happy period” ads. Are you serious? I’m bleeding for 5 days from my crotch and the bathroom now looks like there’s been an animal sacrifice. If you’re going to call it anything, “the curse” works better.

I don’t know about the rest of you… but pretty much all I cared about from age 5 to 12 was Breyer horses, and stuffed animals. Mostly equines though. Although I had a few dog studies I also loved.

I wouldn’t really have cared about Barbie’s but someone had to take care of the BREYERS! My Barbie’s were all bionic as Dad had to place a lag screw in their hips to hold their legs back on. LOL

I think we’re on the same page.

My thought process.
This ban was not upheld due to old evidence.
George’s ban was.
Therefore, there is more than just old evidence on George.

For clarity here is my original post (#4410):

@Peggy We ARE on the same page :o. My bad. I was posting from my phone and thought i had picked one of the posts that queried what the Athletes for Equity in Sports/Diane Carney crowd was going to make of Callaghan getting his lifetime ban overturned on the basis that his transgressions were old whereas GMs ban was not. The mental answer was they’re going to cry “FOUL - our guy got a lifetime ban for old evidence. There is no justice blah blah blah” Although they haven’t been continuing the drumbeat about GMs getting the axe for old behavior, the fact that they think SS should prioritize investigations to act on more recent information vs older cases, indicates that they still think that “it happened so long ago” is still a valid defense. And I think it isn’t unreasonable to think that there is more recent activity contributing to the decision in GMs case not to mention the witness intimidation)

ETA: I was not questioning the decision of the arbitrators in either case.

I completely agree. The whole thing is so bizarre. And how does the 10 year old girl feel about her dad discussing this very personal change she is going through with an adult male friend? She probably has no idea, and would feel completely embarrassed and like her privacy was utterly violated.
