Maybe the action figure will be taking over clinic duties for 2016.

Uh oh, I hope he’s not ill. That’s the kind of announcement I find worrisome

Me too. :frowning:

Important announcement from George H. Morris:
"In principle, I am taking a hiatus from clinics in 2016. I am putting my clinic schedule on hold for the year. Thank you all very much for your support."

what does “in principle” mean?

I’d say it means he won’t rule out occasional clinics but will not be committing to any long-term planning.

Perhaps he just needs a break, wouldn’t it be fabulous if GM took this break to write a book regarding where this sport has been, where it is now, and where it’s heading, and what steps could be taken to fix it… GM answers to no one and may be the only living Horseman on earth that can say it like it is without apology

I agree with Synthesis, he is not planning a full year of clinics but will probably do some for groups he strongly supports, etc.

Hopefully that means the 2016 Horse Mastership Clinic in Wellington will still happen, but I’m not holding my breath. Methinks Anne K will probably take that over.

That is the same thing I was thinking, Synthesis. So often this sort of announcement is followed by bad news.

Jingles for George and his associates.

I really hope he is okay and is going to take some time to write an autobiography!

This devastating to me…I was planning on riding with him this weekend but due to injuries to me and the horse I was hoping for next year. Boo!!
But yes, a book would be good, and yes, I hope he is healthy!!

Agreed. I am worried especially since he didn’t give a particular reason why.

Noo! I missed this years clinic. I meant to go watch but I wrote down the wrong date and for some reason there wasn’t a bazillion facebook posts about it. Hoping I get to see him in person some day :frowning:

UGH this is the ONE clinic I hope he does. Even if Anne does it, I’ll still go, but I won’t stay up after working overnight on New Year’s Eve to go! I do hope his health is ok though, truly.

I’m really glad that I took a clinic with him when I did. Best $$$ I’ve ever spent.

so no horsemastership clinics in January?

Yabbut, there’s still 3 months of 2015 left… so maybe/hopefully this means the break really is planned and not one of grave necessity.

Sounds like he has written a book already . Unrelenting by George Morris due out March 2016
