Good video of Fuego XII w/music and ecstatic crowd!

enjoy! just watched it and still goosebumpos and happy chills! what a pair!!!

This is a good video, you can even hear the stomping. It gives a better idea of the explosion that took place in the audience .

Mr. Diaz, I’m sorry if I contributed to spooking your horse. I noticed you didn’t seem to mind :D.

wow. Is it wrong that I totally enjoyed watching that one more then Totalis? Just way more fun, and it lookd like they were having a blast out there.

Wonderful performance!

That’s the best free one I’ve seen WITH the crown noise. I just wish she had kept on filming the standing ovation part! What is wrong with me? I can’t stop watching this horse and rider!

Thank you for admitting that. Now I know it isn’t just me. Sorry I don’t know what’s wrong with us, but who cares? How often does this happen :stuck_out_tongue: .

You’re quite welcome.

This has made me want to ride. I didn’t think that was possible! I want an Iberian! NOW! j/k LOL

Ditto…

reminds me of 2002 WEG in Jerez when Rafael Soto and Invasor stole the show too.

I don’t get it. You all get upset because Toto doesn’t “come from behind enough” in the extensions, but this horse certainly doesn’t look to be any better. He flings his front legs around a bit like Totilas, only in a much less fluent way, he looks jerky. 1-tempis are a little better I guess, but I don’t see much else that makes this horse “the best ever”. The music is loud and people got into that. Meh. I can take it or leave it. I totally understand why it didn’t score any higher.

I haven’t said one word against Toto. I did say that I don’t like his music and after seeing all the scoring, IMHO his artistic scoring was too high. Fuego XII’s artiistic scoring was too low. I like both horses (actually, loved watching all of the freestyles). These are the top dressage horses. They are all deserving. I don’t know why someone can’t say something nice about Fuego’s freestyle without getting jumped on by Toto fanatics! If you don’t like this horse, why bother coming on a thread about him?

“I totally understand why it didn’t score any higher…” Haha, that made me crack up. They got an 81%! Has Toto spoiled us to the point of forgetting that an 81% is incredible? Wow

Anyhow, I thought it was a lovely test. Great horse, lovely rider. The music was perfect for them. You can see that Fuego, like Toto puts his utmost effort into every performance, and that is what people love about both of these horses. It was also what attracted so many to Matine in my opinion. These horses all have heart and they give it their all!

I know Toto’s was everyone’s favorite, and “technically” was amazing, but this one was my favorite ride of the night. The horse and rider had so much heart, where such showmen, the crowd obviously loved it…

This one has german commentary but shows the standing ovation at the end and some nice replays. Also a really good angle on the extended canter into the piaffe which has to be my favorite of the whole test.

Thanks, I appreciate your finding this! I actually found that one earlier today. I had been looking for a more professional video with the crown noise and the extended coverage.

That’s a beautiful thing. I love the use of Henri Mancini’s “Theme from A Summer Place”. I listened to that as a kid 40 years ago, and all I could think of was a perfect ride on my horse.

thanks for the video link. I watched it live from behind V so it was nice to see the 1 handed 1 tempis were totally straight.

It was an amazing ride, and was my favorite ride of the night.

Fantastic ride!!! Thanks for posting the link!

I LOVE that this little guy showed the world that Iberians ROCK!

Yes, the scores that some get made us sad that he ‘only’ scored an 81% :stuck_out_tongue:

Everyone at our exhibitions (IALHA) is asking about and talking about him.

I’m so thrilled that the crowd loved him.

how many Iberian sales do you think this one performance will generate?

I know i am thinking “i want a PRE!” and wonder what a WBxPRE would look like…

and i am hoping my 2 yo Conn grows up looking like a mini Fuego! !

(hey, now there is an idea… pony sized PREs - is there such a thing?)

Thanks for the post. Not on the video, but just before they went in, Fuego reached down to scratch the side of his face on his leg. And Juan just let him do it! A very cool pair of customers and just a great ride.
