I hate that camera angle at the rein back. It’s so pointless!
You don’t like looking at the riders’ nose hairs?
78.086% for fourth right now.
Just watched laura Graves- lovely test.

Emile says she killed the half passes :)
Her trot half passes were AWESOME.
78.086% for Laura Graves and Verdades!
She is 4th though - Such a good job Laura and Diddy!!!

I think they completely underscored Diddy on some movements–his piaffe work earlier on easily deserved high sevens/low eights. Only by the final passage/piaffe tour did the scores start to rise.
I don’t know. He looked uneven behind in the early piaffe/passage and he didn’t look like he was bending much.

Completely agree!! I think his was some of the nicest piaffe work we’ve seen.

Yes, I love that they’re the top US score!
Fantastic score for Laura and the U.S. team!
Yeah, he’s been under scored before. Really bugs me, even though he’s been getting a lot more international exposure.

I don’t think so. His passage is fabulous, but his piaffe was not the full number of steps and creeping a bit. He can do a lot better. The good thing is, he can go up tomorrow, and he was amazing today!
On the BBC they’re also explaining that while his piaffe is dead on the spot and regular generally, he doesn’t lower his quarters, so the judges don’t quite know what to do.

Yes you are right - and Emile’s commentary also said he didn’t sit enough in the piaffe http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/rio-2016-olympics-dressage/follow-live-rio-olympics-grand-prix-dressage-582977
Mad props to Don Aurelio’s groom–those dapples were awfully sexy to watch as he pranced on down the center line.
Hmmm lacking regularity in left trot half pass…
Hmmm Johnson looks tense…
