Grand prix dressage stallions

So it is time to start searching for appropriate stallions for my girls. I limit my choices to horses who have competed at the grand prix dressage level and/or produced at grand prix. Hopefully this will be reference list for the future.
Please. don’t add FEI young horse stars or producers unless they have actually gone to the top. Prix St. Georges is only half way, so I am trying to keep those fellows, albeit lovely ones, off the list.
Thanks!

I always wonder why he isn’t used more as he’s a gp stallion who has produced competitive gp horses. He doesn’t seem as popular and I’m guessing it’s because he isn’t “modern.”

Dont think so… My guess is he has the wrong owner… I saw him last summer and although he is quite old, he still looks amazing and is schooled every day…

Just to be argumentative  Isn’t it more important that the offspring are found at GP level? So in other words, stallion with GP offspring that may or may not have competed to GP themselves. Many horses at GP will not be able to produce GP horses themselves. The issues of breeding stock vs sport horse.
Don Frederico
Welt Hit I
Jazz
Wolkenstein
Metall

stoicfish, I really agree, but I dont think this is really important for anyone… Good marketing is everything…
But on the other hand a GP horse is always made… You dont get one just by breeding it…

And what I think to be interesting… In marelines, approved stallions and SPS mares are more important for selling than horses who are actually sucessful in GP…

Maybe people are staying away from the Weltmeyer hotness?

But people love other Weltmeyer offspring  and this horse has proven himself for years on the GP level… So he himself wasnt too hot… I fell in love with him this year and my only problem was that I dont want to breed too many mares. I had decided on Lancet for my mare already (Lancet and Wie Weltmeyer are neighbors in the same barn) But I would highly recommend using him if it is possible… he is adorable…

When I think of hot, I think of the Dutch horses and many of them are notorious. They are as popular as ever.
For those that have worked with many Welty offspring - are they hot or just sensitive and intelligent?
Some are noble in appearance and I thought that was more the reason they are not as popular. But they are still in many of the top horses even if people are not swarming to them.
