The CONSENT is the part you now have a problem with? After filling up pages on previous threads demanding that people provide proof of NP’s unprofessional and rather frightening history of attacking people?

Not with him looking up a stranger’s personal address and phone number on the internet, making an aggressive, threatening call to her and live-streaming that call on social media, all because she (as good friends should do) quietly sent her friend a PRIVATE message to warn her about Nick’s reputation and suggesting that she donsome
research.

Really? What do you call it when someone tracks you down and calls you late at night? When they write posts on a public blog and publish it about you while lying about you? How about when he tracks down your area and contacts your associates to try to get them to break ties with you? How about when he states he tracked down my IP addresses and says he knows where I live. How about when several years ago I first encountered him and he threatened both me and my husband? No? Not harassment?

That’s terrifying harassment. No one should make excuses for him or defend him.

I agree with you 100% it is terrifying. And I would first like to express that I do not defend NP by any means. I think he doesn’t sound like a nice person. But I believe that he does feel harassed by all these people talking bad about him. I would if I would be in his situation. Even if he is not the best trainer ever does he really deserve this? I do believe that his nerves are pretty much laying blank… And he is not harassing anybody just by chance. He never harassed me. (because I don’t know him and no contact with him) There was some kind of contact before he reacted like that. Obviously the friend of the OP did tell a student of him how horrible he was. And obviously the student did not agree with her and told NP. So there was a reason…
If I would tell bad things about somebody and the person would get mad at me, I could understand that… I do not defend his overreaction though

It had nothing to do with his riding. I referenced nothing outside of my direct experience with him. I did not make fun of him but did mention that he was not the acclaimed rider he claims. That is it. I didn’t direct her to do anything, did not post links, pictures, or anything else. The idea that someone looking out for another person is in the wrong and sad to me. I would expect someone else to do the same for me and at least give me a heads up.

Manni this is not what happened. I PMd what I thought was a friend on Facebook describing only the facts of the personal behavior of NP towards me and a close friend. It had nothing to do with his riding. I referenced nothing outside of my direct experience with him. I did not make fun of him but did mention that he was not the acclaimed rider he claims. That is it. I didn’t direct her to do anything, did not post links, pictures, or anything else. The idea that someone looking out for another person is in the wrong and sad to me. I would expect someone else to do the same for me and at least give me a heads up.

I am sorry if I expressed it wrong and believe me I am very sorry for your situation right now and what happened, it is inexcusable!!! But obviously you said something about him (whatever it was) to a person who thought very different. Sometimes advice is not wanted. I really feel with you, because I know I am exactly the same way. And I somehow believe something like this could happen to me as well…In fact I did express my opinion about somebody (and it wasn’t even a bad opinion ) to another person who really started to hate me after I did it… But 2 years later the person said I was totally right…
So thats my point we are talking about somebody who is under extreme pressure. Anything might blow it up. I would really just keep out of it. Maybe he is changing , maybe his clients are happy, whatever. If they want to inform themselves there is enough opportunity. Why not simply keep out of it…

I would call it very poor behavior especially since a couple of COTHers have attempted to do exactly this to me because I dare to disagree with their viewpoint.

But I can, will, and have, handled autocratic self-appointed enforcers and doing so is second nature to me.

You should avail yourself of any legal remediation alternatives you have access to in real life.

As I said, I have a feeling the links posted here are going to cause a big legal mess, I hope those responsible for doing it and those found to be encouraging them are held accountable.

I am sure the entire COTH editorial staff and the Bellissimo family are sleeping well tonight, knowing they have such diligent and thorough legal oversight.

Must be a big relief to have it offered pro bono like this; seeing as they can’t afford legal representation on their own.

I am so thankful for the many NP threads on here because he is now located in the same area as me and he is on all the local FB pages, looking for boarding barns and clients. He keeps getting kicked out of barns.

On one post, I saw good people with good businesses offering him their boarding facilities, not knowing his background. I wrote a post saying that they may want to do a little research on NP. Every single person who liked my post received nasty PMs from NP and he wrote a very nasty reply to my post. However, it showed him for whom he is.

This guy is scary and makes it clear he has no problem breaking the law to bully and harass people. It bothers me that he is in the area and causing problems at local equestrian facilities. People need to know what he is about and, thankfully, when you google his name, the COTH threads are the first ones that come up.

Csaper needs to take a deep breath and realize that he is the one behaving like a drama llama. Last time I checked, he wasn’t a moderator and, in fact, his own posts have made this thread twice as long as it would be otherwise. :rolleyes:

Keep up the good work ladies! Keep protecting the horse world from this guy. And I mean NP, not csaper.

NP is not the least bit scary. I find him pathetic and easy to predict.

I have plenty of sense, enough to know that NP is a pot hole on the road of life. Some people go around pot holes, some people fall into them. Sometimes if you bring a pot hole to the attention of the proper authority, they repair it.
