Harassment Nick Peronace Style

I won’t get long winded on this but will let the vids speak for themselves. On 25 September, Nick made a late-night call in order to harass and accuse a good friend of mine. I’ve added descriptions to the vids themselves to explain the timing.

Disclaimer: my friend was notified, is aware and has no issues with these links being posted.

He re-posted the second vid to at least two other Facebook sites including the local dressage association nearest my friend, as well as his wordpress blog, along with his usual general rant. All of the posts have since been deleted.

Some may see this is his way of retaliating, however, criticism of a self-identified professional is not harassment as he claims and in no way merits what amounts to a stalking-like and harassing phone call. Plus, he recorded the call without notification, which, especially where he resides, is illegal.

Well, if he does have a lawsuit pending on her, at least she can use the video as proof to his illegal actions. May throw out the whole stupid lawsuit.

This does show just how ridiculous he is though. He posts a video (which by itself is weird) and then realizes he lives in a state where consent is required so he edits the video and pretends like the consent was there all along.

What a stroke of PR genius! I was on the fence about this guy until I saw this video. Now I realize that I’ve wasted all of these years training with fat jealous losers who are so jealous they won’t even offer up their time and facilities to host free clinics for trainers they’ve never even met. The sort of cyber-bullies who use private messages to warn friends about the reputations of other pros. Thank goodness he caught this person off guard by calling late at night so we could all see that when she’s not hiding behind a screen name the only answers she has to his tough questions are questions of her own. I’ve been taken in too long by the jealous witches who post on the Chronicle saying that this man might not have the maturity and insight to train riders like me and off-breed horses like mine to GP. This guy has the guts to confront people about their so-called “freedom of speech” and their use of private communication to influence other equestrians, and the wisdom to secretly record it and post it on the internet. We can all see who’s in the wrong now. Bravo, maestro!

The edit isn’t even that self serving. It comes halfway through the call?! If you’re going to edit a video to try to make it look like you got consent at the outset of a phone call before recording it, at least put the edit at the beginning?

How is it slander to post what someone has actually done/said (as shown by a video)??? Also, the mods have said repeatedly that it is ok to talk about horse pro’s actions and qualifications, so long as the convo doesn’t devolve into name calling. This trainer’s qualifications (or lack there of) have been brought up over and over again on multiple threads (very much a dead horse at this point), but this type of behavior is completely unprofessional and frankly a little frightening. Exposing it is no different than talking about CR’s horse sale scandal.

The short version my reasoning for asking to take this thread down is that I think COTHers are now using Peronace’s already infamous reputation here (allowed to snowball by COTH moderation) to be used against him in what ought to be a private fight settled between the two people involved. I don’t think this forum should be allowed to become the publicity weapon of someone who wants to take revenged against someone else. Just because social media allows one to do that, doesn’t mean one should do that. I don’t want to be part of that level of meanness.

It may not be slander, but posting an illegally recorded video [illegal because both parties did not give consent to the recording] is most certainly illegal.

And may open the COTH up to a law suit.

I’m sure NP is thanking the OP for making his dreams, of having a valid reason to drag the publishers of COTH into court, come true.

This is beyond idiotic.
