Well. If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say it’s that a book can be sold and seems more credible to the easily bamboozled than a postcard or unhinged social media post.

Why wouldn’t you want to use one of the biggest stars to promote a sport that would have probably been underwatched by the general public? I think it is a great way to get people who would not otherwise have been involved interested!

Horses in the Hood. Intro to horses for kids that had never seen one except on TV and came from the worst parts of East LA. No idea if it is still operative but it was running for years with lots of support from both communities,

It’s comparing dressage horses to dancers - a comparison many horse people make - and she’s calling the horse and the sport “hot.” Which - yes, hot can indeed mean sexually attractive but not universally.
Megan Thee Stallion’s dancing in the commercial isn’t even that provocative, I’ve seen more provocative moves from Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus.
It has the vibes of a goofy Super Bowl commercial, not some salacious shield-thine-eyes and thine-child’s-eyes vibe.

Not at all an expert on Megan Thee Stallion and won’t quibble with you on Snoop Dogg because his image has absolutely been cleaned up but looking at a basic wikipedia-level overview of Megan Thee Stallion, yes, her lyrics relate to her own confidence in her sexuality but nothing indicates she’s a, er, “hoochie momma stripper” as you put it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megan_Thee_Stallion
Even if she has been one at some point, either she was doing what she had to do under less-than-ideal circumstance or it’s work she chose to pursue and since it’s not my life I’m not going to shame someone else.
