Has Anyone Here Done Any Packing?

Atrocities were committed by both sides and it hard for us to judge this looking back from today’s gentler times. [/QUOTE]

Again, noting that this is not a policy page, I would just add that, very sadly, here in Indian Country, these are not gentler times. Plenty of violence (NY Times just had an article on Native American women and rape), poverty, addiction, hopelessness. Visit the Pine Ridge or Rosebud reservations. That we have people living like this in our country really is beyond disgraceful. And the Bush Administration’s behavior on the Indian Trust Fund (the case that sued the gov’t over monies owed the tribes) was pathetic. Easy for me to digess on this because, as I said earlier, its very close to home!

Those rez ponies (like the rez dogs) are tough little buggers! And watching the Indian Relay Races sure gives one a whole new appreciation for basic riding skills!!

I never read that exchanging ideas precluded challenging those that were not well founded. But maybe I didn’t read the right stuff, eh?

I have no problem with you doing what you do. You don’t seem to have problems with what I do. But if you commend your system I might comment; you get the same opportunity. I don’t see this as a problem.

Just because you disagree with something doesn’t mean it isn’t well founded!
