If you want to use it with more than one student you have to redo the syncing process with all the radios together. Clear them all then assign the functions again. I have used mine for more than a year and love it. The US rep is very helpful if you have a problem.
I must be the only person who struggles with the earpiece. I have no idea what the deal is but it’s impossible to get in and it falls out multiple times during my warmup. Others at my barn don’t have the same problem so my ears must be wonky. The sound is tremendous and the range is amazing.
I loved my Ceecoach for about 6months then it became buggy and terrible. I did the updates twice but it still cuts out during lessons. I rarely use it now because its so unreliable.

You can plug almost any other earpiece or headset into the CeeCoach sets, though.
We’ve done many show warmups using my Eponaire earpiece, plugged into my instructor’s CeeCoach box on my belt. One problem with my Eponaire is picking up other trainer’s on the channels, at shows. So we just switch over, but I leave my earpiece on since it’s under my helmet plus it’s the king that goes right inside my ear.
You can use your earbuds that come with an iPhone, or any set you pick up in a CVS or Best Buy. The CeeCoah ones are or upscale so it’s kind of a pain to spend the $$ and not use them, but if they don’t fit, it’s an option to plug in another product.
Glad to hear people are happy with it as we are about to give it our trainer at the barn. Seven of us got together and made a group purchase.
If you have trouble with yours cutting out I suggest getting a new earpiece and wire. I think they kink and short out.

Earbuds
I have the Bose SoundTrue Ultra earbuds, they fit in the ear (3 sizes), snug, pricey but I like them.
My instructor has this system and we all LOVE IT!!! She has more than one headset. If you use it with more than 1 rider, only the moderator/instructor can speak…the other 2 sets are silent.
I can always hear my instructor, she can speak in a normal tone and the headset stays in place really well. You can use a headband to help keep it in place if needed.
CeeCoach compared to ComTech
How does CeeCoach compare to ComTech? Has anyone used both?
I’m concerned about the durability of the CeeCoach - looks a bit dainty. I have taken a fall while wearing my ComTech that sent me to the hospital as a Trauma patient and the radio was fine… I of course don’t remember any of it.
The system is nice however we have had problems with the charging port coming out the units and we have been very delicate with it. this has happened now twice so we are looking to return it as I have purchased a different more durable system.

I hated the weird over-the-ear piece, so I use my iphone’s ear buds. I’ll have to try using some foam to buffer the mic on them - thanks for the idea!
elleng0728, I had the same problem with my first CEECOACH. I had purchased them in Germany. I returned them and was told my their US rep that this was a problem with the origional units. The replacements they sent me have not had the problem and I have recharged them many times.
Hi quiet girl, unfortunately this has now happened twice and it is getting very expensive to ship the unit back to the UK. I have told the company that I want to return everything as I have purchased a different system out of my own pocket.
I’ve used both. I was very concerned about the durability of the ceecoach as well although I never had an accident with it so can’t comment for sure- however I’ve had my comtek set for 10 years. Ive replaced the microphone once due to an accident with some acid (no fault of the system!) a few years ago. It’s been dropped in the dirt numerous times with no damage.
I’ve been taught as well as instructed with both. My issue with the ceecoach when I was instructing was that if I sat in a certain way it would block the reception to the student so I had to be very careful about how I sat. The way i attached it meant that when i bent over it would turn off.
When I was riding with my coach the coach would have to sit on the long side because the communication would cut out. The arena is less than 65m long but it would get dicey after about 50m. I also didn’t like the echo. You can make it one way communication which solves that problem.
Honestly I found it tricky to use. The two things I liked about it were the two way communication (despite the echo which drove me insane) and the fact that when I coached at shows I didn’t have to worry about getting on someone else’s channel. If I had to buy one system though I would buy my Comtek again- it’s stood the test of time and the reception is much better. I never have issues with students not hearing me after 50m. It works on Bluetooth so this doesn’t surprise me. Just like my apple watch- I love it but if I leave my phone in the area where I teach and I walk to the other side of the arena it doesn’t always alert me.
We bought a set of six for my trainer for 2015 Christmas and it’s wonderful for us students in lessons and in shows. If you’re looking at using it at shows you will be happy for the Bluetooth since it doesn’t have the interference problem that the standard radio based units have. Ask anyone who has a standard radio unit about hearing other trainers over their system. You don’t have that problem with Bluetooth.

I have a custom set of earpieces that I was using as music headphones but are awesome for this, so I’m all set on that. My trainer really likes it too.
Does anyone know if the Ceecoach and the One K systems can interact? They are both Bluetooth systems, so logically there should be some way to get them to interface. Several of my students have a lot of trouble with the Ceecoach earpieces (and NO, not all earpieces work with the Ceecoach - the old Simultalk earpieces do NOT work! more’s the pity). The Earpiece that attaches to the helmet from the One K would be ideal! But I don’t know if anyone has tried it that way. I personally love my Ceecoach units, but some of my students, not so much.
Has anyone used something thats not specific for equestrians, like a two way radio with headset?
Trying to find a way to get something within my price book
I am thinking of purchasing this, but wonder if anyone has used this device with a regular hearing aid? Not many I expect. Can it be used with hearing aid in, or better with hearing aid removed? At the point where I can’t hear my coach when I’m riding at far end of the arena … even though she has a big voice. Think this device might do the trick.
I teach three individuals with profound hearing loss, and they take their hearing aids out when using the Ceecoach system. It helps them enormously - they don’t work to hear me, so they can concentrate on the job with their horses.
