Sheder, I have a student with a hearing aid in one ear (18% word recognition) and a cochlear in the other. She was taking her hearing out and using the ceecoach but she really wasn’t hearing anything. We now use a blue tooth device that directly pairs with the cochlear and I call on her phone. That’s working very well, but she wears a lot of gear for it to work out. A piece around her neck, another one pinned to her jacket, and a fanny pack with her phone. Which, btw, has horrible reception at the barn. Not sure how it’s going to work at competitions. Might have to go back to the cee coach and hand signals. LOL.
I do also have a Comtek that is about 15 years old. I’ve ALWAYS had problems with my comtek cutting out. I’ve gone thru multiple microphones as that’s comteks only ‘solution’. My Ceecoaches are a few years old and the quality of sound is far better. We resolved the echo feedback by changing the settings so only one ear bud works. And we dont use the jabra ones that came with it. We use our regular ear buds we’d use at the gym. We only get an echo if we are close, really close, to eachother.
My ONLY complaint on CeeCoach is the charge doesn’t last long enough. I charge 3-4 times a week to get thru my lessons/clinics.
Oh, and LOVE that I figured out how to lock my device so I don’t randomly turn it off or change it’s assignment. Ooops!
