Help! Looking for Jill from Gray Fox Farms
LOL, I was going to suggest to the OP that she contact Edgar and see if he had any recommendations!

Edgar, you are a peach for stepping forward and offering to help her.:D
 As soon as I saw this thread I had sent a message to Edgar, and OP via her website knowing he could help her out. So happy the mare will land safely!

I’ve forwarded this to Tish Quirk also. She’s a HUGE Lucky Boy fan.

To bad she is that far, I would take her. Hope you will find a good home for her, good luck

It would now appear your lovely mare will land safely and softly. So pleased for you and so sorry you’ve had this unnecessary stress.

A little info about her:
1998 16.3 black by Graf Goetz out of Aleva (KWPN) by Lucky Boy
Oldenberg registered (19.162 HVB 98)

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/reindance

Sold her as a 3 yr old, did a little competing, lots of lessoning by an A/O starting in dressage -field injured and came back to me. Brought back numerous times but always went lame again.

I have had 2 foals by her - both were purchased by Wendy (Ritter) Peralta of Seabreeze Farm (top hunter/jumper/equitation barn - Nikko Ritter’s family)

Here are youtube links to those two foals:

3 yr old By Freestyle (West):

Weanling By Indoctro (KWPN)

Easy to breed, easy to foal, and easy to keep (as can be attested by her current situation living in someone’s back yard!)

email me for more…

thank you thank you thank you…
The dam - Aleva was in my broodmare band…back about 15 years.
She had a filly by Starman who was a super producer
Her gelding by Grande Saber was a lovely and successful hunter/equitation horse…a liver chestnut with rather wild markings.
This mare is G-line and obviously a great foundation for a breeding program.
I hear she is now in good hands.
Thank you to everyone who stepped up to the plate on this issue.

Obie, so glad that you found a solution for your mare and that she is fine.

Okay, I was going to try to stay out of this, but did have to set the record straight on this one. I have been impressed with how closed lipped stallion owners have been about this person. She owes many of them for unpaid breedings and/or services. Worse, she has bashed other stallions and breeders through the use of alters and friends (confirmed via IP addresses when we were on the receiving end of one of her bash fests). In our situation, she was using multiple alters and was saying that she was various professionals all with the same negative opinion of our stallion. She was also sending PMs to anyone who inquired about our stallion advising them to “run not walk” from him. We are not the only ones that she has done this to. Since she has been “outed” on the forums, she has now created an “educational” blog on her website which she is using to the same purpose.

I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to read comments against those who have spoken up especially when I know that there is so much more behind the scenes that hasn’t been aired publicly and I know, through personal experience, that these people have legitimate grievances. I do agree that threads can quickly escalate past the point of what is appropriate, but that doesn’t change the fact that if you say things like this then no one will speak up with the truth.

I suppose there are some people who just ignore the obvious and do business with people who have proven themselves to be completely unprofessional.
I’m still amazed that in this economy someone can be keeping very large (40 some) mare bands (breeding every year) and selling off the foals or young horses with sufficient income to support all of the mares, unsold youngsters and stallions. Even adding in stud fees - from my calculations it just doesn’t work.
Adding up annual shots, worming, trimming, feed, coggins for the mares and stallions and then layering on the same for the foals (who do require more shots the first year). Now drop in the big $$ - feed and I just can’t see how it works. And I’m a financial person.
In order to stay afloat (without outside income or a trust fund) short cuts must be happening somewhere in the list of what horses require for acceptable equine management, breeding and raising. JMHO

Her place was supposed to be in a foreclosure auction this week I think, notice has been in the papers. Not sure if it has happened or not.

Ohhhh, I wonder what will happen to her stallions. For all the anger and issues coming up in this thread, I still think the stallions are nice quality boys - Redwine, yummmm. And what about all the mares? I hope they all land somewhere good - better then now:confused:

The Stallions are not at her place, I dont think? Or, I should say - they have been at barns where I have boarded in the past…

the mares are/were in adjacent fields to her property… so…

what freaks me out is that she is still acquiring mares… she just got a freebie as per another thread here…

we saw all of the stallions except redwine there recently. Bear in mind that her place isnt where everyone is all the time, there is a really nice quarter horse farm next door that is huge.

Its always buyer beware. The horses caught in this cluster are where my concern lies.

it’s 10 acres i think. not many stalls, mostly pasture. and an arena.

i used to live right next door

only 10 acres? Sure looks bigger than that. We saw Aloha in a nice shady paddock there.

Our Thanks

I just wanted to thank everyone for their information above. Due to info that my client learned today after reading this thread, she was able to stop the sale of her mare to Jill at the very last minute.
Thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences. I am sad to hear these things are happening but am thankful our horse has been spared from the wrath of JB and Grey Fox Farm.
JB is obviously livid we have pulled out of the sale and is threatening taking us to small claims. After reading about all these active warrants, I think that would be rather entertaining to experience!

Thanks again everyone.

i think part of it is owned by someone else - 5 acres i think… on top of the hill… but i am pretty sure his place is 10 or maybe 15 acres… you can kinda tell if you look on google earth.

Yep… foreclosure in process

A quick search of the Sonoma County records confirms this. Looks like Wells Fargo recorded a notice of Trustee’s Sale on March 9 of this year. Usually you have about 90 days until the property is sold.

SHE JUST GOT ANOTHER BROODMARE ON ANOTHER THREAD! What the hell!?!?!

PLUS There is an abstract of judgement from Rivertown Feed & Pet Country store… guess she hasn’t been paying for her feed either.

MORE Judgements, she owes:

Myron Hinrich
Turner Reynolds Greco & O Hara

Edited to add:

She has been defaulting on her motgage pretty regularly since 2004. Back in June 2010’ the property was slated for foreclosure sale before but she pulled it out.

New this time around are judgements, and to me, the feed store going so far as to get the court to rule in their favor is a HUGE BIG FLAG. That was from January of this year… yet she has her blog up, everything is just fine…

How is she going to house and feed these horses she keeps collecting?

Looks like she stiffed her lawyer. Bad plan. As the proud owner of a Redwine baby I hope all the crap isn’t held against his foals. I wouldn’t breed to him again on a bet as long as he is owned by the current connections but there is no doubt he makes nice babies.
