What a mess :(. I personally don’t comment one way or the other on Ms. Burnell’s opinions with regards to our own personal stallions or our equine reproductive business. I figure ultimately the proof “is” in the puddin’. We’ve certainly been in business long enough that I’m not too concerned about Ms. Burnell’s statements ;). But, I really, really feel for those stallion owners that haven’t been in the business as long or who don’t have quite as thick a skin as we’ve managed to develop over the years. What to do? They truly are damned if they do and damned if they don’t. If they say nothing, it is assumed that the accusations are true. If they speak up, they are tarred and feathered for daring to refute statements and “bashing” another stallion owner :(. It’s just a sad state of affairs.
With that said, I “do” take exception to her blatant lies with regards to EVA. Attributing statements to Dr. Timoney that are out and out false really raised my ire. This thread: http://www.horsegroomingsupplies.com/horse-forums/discussion-on-eva-434834.html I had split out from a previous thread involving JB in which she was making claims that “Dr. Timoney said…” as I did not want the information on EVA lost in the mess that seems to accompany her these days. I contacted Dr. Timoney about her claims as, knowing Dr. Timoney, I just could not believe he would EVER say what she was claiming. He didn’t and the response I posted was at his behest. My biggest concern is that there are a sufficient number of people that “will” listen to her claims and I want to be absolutely clear on what is true, false and appropriate protocol if someone chooses to breed to an EVA positive stallion.
