Help! Looking for Jill from Gray Fox Farms

Well, I do not wish her ill and hope only that the horses land in a good spot. But truly, SOMEONE has to let people who are dealing with her know what is going on.

And frankly, I am old and well-established and don’t give a RAT’s ASS if Roy Parker would not deal with me because I chose to speak up.

Mr. Parker, this has nothing to do with “bullies”, and everything to do with a person who has been dishonest and apparently has been evading many people who have been trying to contact her( including law inforcement) about important issues.

Its the way you chose to handle it Sonesta, not the fact that you did. There is a difference.

Please…the woman is running a huge breeding operation on 5 barren acres, has ripped off and/or stiffed countless people and has multiple judgments against her, and her farm is being foreclosed on. Yet she continues to acquire mares, breed mares, and act as though there is nothing wrong. There is not a single positive thing that can be said at this point. Whether or not she was nice to a few people, or some people managed to get what they paid for is, irrelevant IMO.

The only thing that would make me respect her in the slightest is if she came clean, admitted her wrongdoings, and placed all those horses in suitable homes.

Yeah, well, I don’t see you (Roy Parker) stepping up.

Your “Miss Manners” delicacy isn’t flying with me Mr. Parker.

Someone better call up Gail and tell her Jill B said breeding TB’s is bad. I call not it.[/QUOTE]

Gail (A Fine Romance/TB) has far too much class to comment and/or make disparaging remarks about another stallion owner/breeder, unlike some others on this thread. If you cruise around the internet, you will find that a couple of SOs commenting on this thread are pots that need to meet kettle.

Well, I know Sonesta IRL and she’s a pretty direct kind of person. Calls 'em like she sees 'em.

The issues with Jill are not new. They started with the importation of Redwine and another stallion (Wine Country, if memory serves)…I believe there was a lawsuit between her and her partner. It’s just that everyone was trying to play nice and it wasn’t talked about. Perhaps if people had been more upfront from the beginning, a lot fewer folks would have had bad experiences.

And you know that I haven’t how Sonesta? Because I don’t blast it on FB?

Skydy I’m sorry you choose not to fly with me. Manners are a great thing.

I agree manners are important.

So Roy, how we you suggest politely advising people that are not necessarily individually known to others, about this? If Jill is trying to obtain more mares, the background should be known I think by the people offering these mares (would you agree?), who may not be aware of the situation.

Any reference to the forclosure and sale of the farm has been deleted from the facebook page . So… someone would rather the truth be unknown. How unfair to the mare owners.

How are people to know what is happening to their mares, the breedings owed etc… when the SO involved is not upfront?

I wouldn’t blame anyone for getting the word out in any way possible. There may be completely unsuspecting owners out there who have no idea that their animals are in an uncertain situation…

I made no reference to you (not flying) Mr. Parker.

It is your fake “Miss Manners” attitude that is not flying.

So Tapper, you know if she has worked out a deal with the bank? or a place to keep her horses? You don’t. So for all you know all cries of “we must protect the mare owners” are not needed. Point is you don’t know. And when people create hysteria based on a situation they are not familiar with (specifically the foreclosure) bad things happen.

I think that there would be no issue if Jill would respond to the people who are attempting to make contact with her.

Hearing nothing will tend to make people worry…

Of course, we all know that returning phone calls and acknowledging written correspondence is fundemental to “good manners”.

Sarcasm, that awkward moment when they think you are serious.:winkgrin:

Well foreclosures are a matter of public record… if she is working something out with the bank, that generally (though I will admit, not always) happens before the foreclosure. While I empathize with someone losing there home and business… I think it’s a responsibility of those who have had less than satisfactory dealings (such as the MO who posted and is now having her mare moved to another location) to let people know about so they can avoid the same pitfalls.

Understood Tapper, I am the one that pointed out it had indeed been foreclosed on. The point was no one posting knows if other arrangements have been made, and to create hysteria without knowledge doesn’t always work well.

No, it doesn’t. But neither does sticking your head in the sand and singing camp fire songs. If people have mares there, they need to know about this, in case. Not everyone can do things on a moments notice…

(and of course when you stick your head in the sand, it leaves your rear end waving in the air for all the world to see…)
