help! my first draft show.
His boss has shown and was showing the horses. Josh was permited to do one class before he abondoned his horse still hitched to have words with judge. He is not permited to show again as he yelled at the conveynor.

Josh is not in charge he was allowed an opportunity he failed at in every feasable way.
I don’t know what your problem is and I wasn’t exactly enamoured with the absurd and unintelligible PM you sent me.

I’d suggest though that if you’ve got a real issue with the OP that you take it up directly and personally and get it off here.

the horses are my bosses. they are all carriage horses from a the carriage company that i work for

my boss knows how to do them

I think that I am going to use my work uniform.

This is our Dog Cart. It’s going to be shown by another person from my company. It’s also for sale, if anyone’s interested.
Not anywhere I’ve ever been in the USA.

And not in the UK.

It’s a wheeler.

I understood the horse to belong to the OP’s company. But then I tend to read in entirity and for context and understanding.
And either is correct, were NOT in the UK so I could give a rats fart what it is there…so, pull your undies out and get your nose out of joint…[edit]

Don’t get your knickers in a bind about Smokenmirrors comments to you. In the last year she has been asked to leave several general horse forums and at least one draft horse forum. She just likes to cause trouble:)

Well I was asked by Josh’s boss and co-workers to respond to what he wrote on here, and they were going to step in once they got to a computer, I should have guessed this would happen.

Josh, your welcome for doing the mane roll and tail, but I would have appriciated it more at the time.

Sorry Thomas-- “Wheel horse” is an acceptable term in southeast Louisiana. In fact, a person who is dependable and be counted on to carry his/ her end of a job is sometimes even referred to as a “wheel horse” as in: “Let’s ask Douglas if he can help with the hay baling. He’s a real wheel horse.” It’s considered a compliment.

My late husband had even chosen “He was a real wheel horse” for his epitaph, but his children wanted to have “The Last Laird of Laurel Hill” on his grave instead. (He was the largest single landowner in the area and several generations of Hamilton men were sometimes called Lairds of Laurel Hill because the family had been one of the earliest to settle the area, as well) We compromised by not putting anything at all.

Unlike much of south Louisiana, the southeast parishes were settled by people of Scots, Scots-Irish, Irish or English descent. West Feliciana in particular had many Scots claim land here- Hamiltons, Stewarts, Stirlings, Sinclairs, McIntyres, McDonalds, McAdams and more-- and some English- Percys, Turnbulls, Barrows, Flowers, Holmes and Smiths as well as Davises. And then there were McConnells who claimed to be Scots-Irish. The Irish were the O’Briens, O’Roarks and O’Donnalls, to name a few.

So “wheel horse” is actually a term used here in southeast Louisiana, and everyone who knows about horses and teams uses this term. Since so many of the settlers here were from Scotland, Ireland or England-- the term probably came from one of their homelands at one time or the other-- but then “American” English began to differ remarkedly from “English” English pretty early on according to some linguists.

Why can’t everyone just get along?

So Canukmel, are you also a co-worker-- or a friend of a co-worker or boss of Josh’s? And they (co-workers and bosses) being upset with Josh asked you to “call” Josh on his posts here instead of just signing up and posting themselves?

And you also know him well enough that you helped him with getting his horse ready for the show- mane roll and tail – but now you are apparently taking him to task on this board? Why can’t everyone just get along?

I am a good friend of his boss, and also friends with his co-workers.

Yes I was asked by his boss and a co-worker to post on this forum. I do not frequent it, they were at the fair and one was checking the forum on the phone but could not respond.

I spoke to Josh in person about his attitude while I was tying to show him something.

The problem is he comes on these forums and will bash the company he currently works for and there was a fear he would bash the fair officials without them having any defence.

This is not my battle personally, but I was asked to put forth these messages, but now that i’ve been left out to dry I don’t really care to continue.

Be clear that my comment about Wheeler was in direct response to the following and the assertion

Right Thomas…aren’t you special…

[edit]

Not sure why you got ugly, when you could have just said something like ‘in my neck of the woods I hear both wheel horse and wheeler, though wheel horse seems to be more common.’

Lucy Goosey, your conduct is unbecoming here. Or there. Or anywhere. How would you handle such a post laced with rude expletives and snooty tones… on chele’s board?

Katarine…were entitled to our own opinion, good, bad, or otherwise. There is more to it than what meets the eye. Instead of trying to act like my mother, perhaps a simple pm and a hey, whats going on, would of sufficed. But, to each his own.

You didn’t answer the question.

Whatever history you all have, your post was pretty ugly, period.

If you mean my comment to Thomas…I don’t OWE you an explanation nor an answer…

I asked you a pretty simple question:

How would you handle such a post laced with rude expletives and snooty tones… on chele’s board? (which is where you are a moderator). You care about that board- how would you have handled it, as a moderator where you care?

Of course you don’t OWE me anything. No more than I owe you a PM or slack or understanding or a cupcake. It’s a simple question that you may or may not choose to answer.

First of all Canuckmel, I apologize to you for not having responded sooner, I was physically and mentally logged out yesterday.
The issue that we are all having with this event was that Josh turned what was supposed to to be a fun event filled with team work into a look at me weekend.
When you were supposed to be unhooking thehorse you were driving, you took off to see the judge before the horse was unhooked. Your FIRST responsability is the horse, nothing else. You were there as a representative of the company and conducted yourself in such a manner that was embarrassing.
You should have considered your self lucky to have been allowed to drive a horse as wonderful as Ralph, and not had the temper tantrums you were having.
Again Canuckmel I am sorry for the delay, you are a wonderful person and I would never leave you to dry. Love ya

BTW My name is Fran
Good Day

We removed some inappropriate language and personal commentary and its responses to keep the thread related to the main topics.

Thanks,

Thanks Fran, between hauling all weekend, showing, and the wedding I was totally wiped out as well. 10hrs of sleep isn’t enough for a long weekend.

I sure had a blast at the fair, and you guys really pulled it together. Next year you’ll have more prep time to become totally polished.

I’ll bet “filly colt” is too but that doesn’t mean it’s right.
