I also have the berry and agree that it leans burgundy.

For merlot, have you seen the AA Motionlite in Primatova? I just bought one from Riding Warehouse and it’s a very cool color.

My whole outfit has no black. Brown saddle and bridle for the yellow pony (my previous was buckskin, I didn’t come up with this whole outfit for a 3yo, lol) and cream breeches/saddle pad/gloves with brown boots and helmet, plus the burgundy coat. I quite like my outfit! I just need to decide what color to bind my pad in. I think I might just do all one color cream to keep it mild.

I have a palomino and thought about this color combo as well. ( my trainer cringes every time I mention brown tack- or a colored jacket other than black)

I liked the AA so much I wore it to my office today. I figure if the guys can wear golf pants, I might as well lower my cost/wear metric

One note on sizing. I bought the XXL in the AA MotionLite based on the size charts. My Horseware is an XL and they feel about the same due to the very stretchy fabric on the AA.

For reference, I’m normally a 12/14 in street clothes.

Yes, I would say eggplant or plum. It’s a very dark conservative purple. I really like it in person!

That Primatova is gorgeous. @GreyDes - thank you for posting them together - that really helps see how much darker the AA jacket is than the HW Berry.

What size do you wear in horseware? I tried on the AA coat but thought it ran really small so I’m wondering if they changed the sizing?

I just bought the Horseware jacket in black today and I think the sizing runs small. I am usually a small or medium in tops and the medium jacket was a little tight. The large size was much more comfortable.

I have the MotionLite in green, I’ll second sizing up if you’re hesitant…I was deciding between a small and a medium…it’s so light it’s not exactly forgiving so I went with the medium.
