If you think that is a dirty horse, you are never allowed to come visit me and see mine. :see_no_evil:

Pretty! I do like pink on a grey!

That’s not dirt. That’s glitter!

Love her in pink.

Gorgeous. I was going to ask, you think that is dirty?! Pfft. I was looking at that photo thinking she’s reasonably clean for a horse in winter haha. I love the color. What’s it called?

So cute! I’ve been eyeballing that fly bonnet to go with my ES Dark Sky saddle pad. Might need to go see what they’ve got on sale.

I got a couple Dapplebay jump pads at black Friday and I’m rather disappointed. The black one is well made, with a nice mech panel down the spine, but it’s HUGE for a jump pad. It would be better for like a large AP saddle. Then the Constellation one seems almost homemade. Like the flannel backing is pilled, and the binding isn’t smooth.

I just ordered a new matchy set – bell boots, wrap boots, & pad all in the same color-- for the first time since I got my PRE about a year and a half ago.

I had a dark grey set from equestrian stockholm already waiting for him before he arrived in the States, but I have been wanting to see him in maroon for awhile. And when I came across “Bordeaux” at clearance-sale pricing a few weeks ago on their site, I couldn’t stop myself.

I hoped it would make it here in time for a clinic we had weekend before last but of course it arrived two days after the clinic ended. But-- in time for the holidays anyway. So here we are on Christmas morning.

well shoot I can’t remember how to post a photo.

Bordeaux would be lovely on a gray (assuming your PRE is the horse in your profile/Pic next to your user name).

In the “reply” window towards the middle left there is an “up” arrow for uploading a photo. If it is too large you may need to host it somewhere else and then use the Add an Image option in the middle right. Because of course we want to see your new matchy set!

They call that one Steel Rose. It’s better on the grey than the dark bays which sort of surprised me.

You all make me feel better about dirtiness :joy: She’s my first grey.

She is incredible and you both look handsome outfitted in bordeaux! May we side track a little and ask how your clinic went?

Bordeaux looks great on you two. Yes, please tell us how your clinic went!

Thanks all.

My clinic was two days with Sabine Schut-Kery. It went really well with a lot of emphasis on him being more forward especially at the beginning of a ride. And on me expecting my horse to work harder than I’m working myself. Typical habits for a lot of adult amateurs and something I’m always trying to improve on. He is a very wiggly type who’s more liable to angle left or right than to take a straight trajectory and keep his body aligned, compared to my older warmblood. She saw that wiggly tendency right away and that’s what she wanted to focus on improving.

It was interesting to me that she didn’t work as much on my position or the contact/connection as other clinicians have, but she focused more on the horse just going ahead and getting sharper reactions to my leg aids. Then when I looked at the videos afterward I was more happy with my seat, hands, and overall position than any video I’ve seen of me before. And I’ve been working so hard on that lately especially after a Nick Wagman clinic in October where he really identified some of my biggest issues with contact and we worked almost exclusively on that.

So we are a long while between shows right now (late February for the next one I think) and I’m just focusing so hard on putting it all together. Eagerly forward horse from Sabine, connected but not pulling hands from Nick, mixed in with the day to day application of knowledge of my wiggly but naturally talented horse & addressing all my own history & habits from my regular coach.

Sabine thought he had a lot of potential even if she didn’t get to see him entirely matching.

Oh, I see the pics now! Lovely! That bridle looks great on him too.

I’m so envious of your clinic experience. I miss clinics! What an awesome opportunity to ride with Sabine.

these are both so nice! How’s the quality?

I got another set for Lemiuexs Boxing Day sale… went with the Kiwi as it was so cheap! I can’t wait to see it on my dark bays. Not sure how it will look on the grey lol
