How about a matchy matchy fashion show thread?

I agree. So cute! Love the flaxen mane.

Ain’t that the truth! Love that combo with your boots, too!

Beautiful! The ES Emerald compliments your pony so nicely.

It is so pretty! It’s not a color I would ever label emerald, but thankfully I saw photos and it goes perfectly with the DeNiro petroleo as well!

The green is beautiful with your dark bay.

A breeches question… has anyone tried Pomme breeches? If so, what the fabric thickness like? (I like a bit of substance to hold and hide, rather than thin and revealing.) And what about the sizing? Is a large going to fit a true US 30?

The cut looks flattering, i like high-waisted, but anything would look good on their models…

I found this on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Equestrian/comments/1f1wm6k/pomme_breeches/

ETA: they look really nice, but yeah, I bought some ES breeches (also European and high waisted) and I’m built like a short Welsh pony and so they don’t look nice on me. That said, they are super comfortable.

Love the boots with the Emerald!

I am trying not to get tempted by boots with the Euro being low right now. The only thing saving me is that I’m saddle shopping, so who knows if I’ll find something with particular color accents that wouldn’t go with any hypothetical boots, haha.

I didn’t get a pic, but I used my PS Sweden lavender pad on my chestnut mare for a lesson this weekend, and I love it. I was on the fence, eyeballing it now and then since it got here several weeks ago. Now I need to find a good shirt to go with it! (I had a purple Under Armor since it’s winter, and it was close to the binding color). Ahh, I am dreaming of warmer weather - I just came back from a 3-day clinic and my matchiness was uninspired at best with the lavender being the high point. It was c-c-c-cold!

I have seasonal attire for my mare, meaning I own almost twenty pads. I received a coupon for ES, and I’ve wanted the Sycamore green pad (I have the Emerald), so I purchased the Sycamore. I will pair it with a top I already have, black breeches, and black boots.

Yay, my favorite thread got bumped up now that it’s getting into clinic and show season!

I ended up with a black saddle with dark brown accents. Am scheming on new boots, but probably won’t order until fall because $$$ I’m thinking polished black with some type of dark brown tops. I’d love tooled leather, but I don’t think Celeris has a tooled leather. I have time to shop around.

I also ended up replacing my jumping saddle with an Albion Redline that has red accents. Not going full red on a chestnut, but I do have a snappy PS Sweden “Team” pad that is blue with white binding and red piping, and the matching browband. Should make a sharp turnout for the schooling shows.

In the meantime, I’ll content myself with finding a shirt to go with that lavender pad.

This is the best thread! I’ve been trying to control myself, and then ES just conveniently sent me a coupon shortly before my mare’s birthday.

Do you have pictures of your new saddle pads?

I’ll try to get some. Waiting on a replacement tag for my Solo shot so I can get videos and stills more frequently.

It is hard to resist a bargain!

I LOVE this green!! And I, too, love this thread. I got a new royal blue coat for Christmas, and found a fun red/gold/blue stock tie that I am looking forward to wearing this year.

My toxic trait is that I just bought 3 LeMieux pads and 2 ES pads when I really should’ve been shopping for some summer riding shirts.

Omg. I’m drooling. I have a chestnut and I neeeeed that pad

I think that color and the Emerald would look beautiful on a chestnut! Not that I’m trying to persuade anyone to splurge on saddle pads, but those colors pop on a red horse.

I need some color matching help. What color ear bonnet on a chestnut for shows? My chestnut mare thinks bugs will absolutely eat her and is happy in a bonnet.

I bought black for everyday/matches her bridle but think it looks a bit stark with her color. Have a rose gold/mink (maybe?) LeMieux pad, as well as just classic white.

Want something subtle and simple, non-blingy and not $100+. Needs to come in XL.

My bright chestnut showed in a brown bonnet (I added trim in 2 shades of blue for our XC colours). It looked great and I used it for dressage as well.

We have a bonnet maker here in Ontario who custom-makes anything you want for reasonable prices (it would be well under $100US with the exchange).

She has lots of examples on her FB page, as well as pricing and colour swatches: https://www.facebook.com/FunBonnets/

This Etsy seller makes all styles (curvy or squared off), any color (will custom match to pad swatches) and trims with bling or no bling. I have 2 bonnets already and they’re making a sound dampening one. All have been under $30!
